I like the craftsman axe head in the first pic. Who made them and is there a same axe in another make? The shape is unique to me. The first one I saw looked like some one made it by cutting up something else

Don't know what axe manufacturer made them for Craftsman but it was called their HatchetAxe

The loose hatchet head is a Wetterlings, the handles one is a Plumb, need to ID the beveled head. The small hatchet/pick is an odd duck.

With a 1-3/4# head on a 17" handle, it was called a "Heavy Hatchet-Axe" in the 1964 Craftsman catalog. The poll is supposedly hardened. (See item 2 on the catalog page shown below.)

I though that too at first glance, but the actual cutting edge? Yeah could be.

What the heck, it's old and hand forged, still very cool! :)

I did some trading at a primitive bow shoot. Some of the draw knives are in very good condition except for some light surface rust. Some cleaning and some use and they will look good as new. The one looks like a fleshing knife. I've been looking for one of those. I had to buy a larger chest freezer after acquiring a couple of Scottish highland cattle hides. The hatchets are a couple of new ones for my collection. The one with the square hole is very thick and heavy. The other one is marked U.S.A. X-X No clue what that one is. It doesn't look very old.

I figured it was some kind of workers tool. That sucker is heavy. It would probably work good for splitting wood while camping.

Does that half hatchet have red epoxy in the eye perhaps ? Because the color of stain on that handle points towards plumb, and it could be a late Cooper era plumb ( I've got a plumb fiberglass handle framing hammer that is only marked with USA on the bottom of the black rubber grip )
Though it used to have plumb printed in white on the handle and your half hatchet could've had the same on its handle.

If it was made for a slag hammer it didn't get used much, it still has all its shape, or hasn't been resharpened much
