It followed me home (Part 2)

A retired “picker” buddy of mine said he had some stuff for me today. I only wanted about half of what he had and he gave me the little hatchet and worn out half hatchet. I am interested in thesescribes. The brand is Lodi. Made in new haven conn. Were these made specifically for timber framing? Thanks for looking!

I have associated those with leather work.

The patent for those dividers doesn't mention a specialized use for them, the main feature seems to be the way they are adjusted.

"Some examples are also marked "LODI", but it is not known whether this is a brand name of Schollhorn or another manufacturer's mark."

Patent No. 801965
Oct. 17, 1905
Wm. Schollhorn Co.
New Haven, CT

Interesting Dividers, appear to be pressed steel construction.
Its points appear sort of fat as if they are just rolled tight of the parent material.

Yes I thought the same thing. They are interesting. I have a smaller pair from the same maker that is a solid construction with space milled out for the set screw. They both are great quality (even though the larger ones are stamped steel).
