It followed me home (Part 2)

Found this little flooring hatchet at the market today. It does not have a maker’s mark on it but whoever owned it took very good care of it. The cheeks have been thinned a little with a banana grind and it looks and feels great. I am excited to rehang it. Someone put a very nice handle on it the just didn’t know how to wedge it I guess.

A few things I picked up at a local consignment shop.
The big hammer is a Plumb and the little one is unmarked. The pickaroon is mounted on a repurposed piece of wood that looks like it might have come from the back of a chair. It has some gnarled wood and epoxy at the shoulder.

I have looked my entire life for a left hand flooring hatchet. I do not believe they were ever made. If anybody sees one, or has ever seen one, please let me know.

Stubai used to make a left handed version of their carpenters hatchet which is pretty close. I haven't seen them in their latest catalog.

Mueller's is still available left or right handed.

Stubai still sells a left-handed model.

Is that a Kelly sickle and an approx. 3 inch wrench cutoff. Nice haul all in all, especially the jersey and the other fairly large axe head. Are you gonna use those saws or flip 'em?
My plan is to sell the two nice saws, they are in great shape. The long worn one will likely become blade stock.

How badly is it worn? To me at least, it looks like the bridges between the teeth haven't been fully worn through yet which I think means it still has some life left in it. I could be way off the mark however.

we had a chat long time ago about that m8 , can't remember when, nore where… this m8 means Something i can't recall (i'm happy to be so usefull)
all right, the m8 in question was weird, 8 was upside down, so it could have been w8 , yours is clearly a m8 on a recent hatchet…
