Nice finds! Those files are so nice... I'm buying a grobet inox file this evening if i can find a retailer who has the one I'm looking for.

Its love hate for me with new files...especially NOS...love to have them, they work the best...hate to use them, they will wear eventually lol!

I believe it's a '41. It could be '40....possibly even maybe a '47.

I picked up a really cool set of Schollhorn/Bernard parallel jaw pliers with wire cutter on the side. I have 4 pairs of Knipex pliers wrenches, these will work in tandem with them!
 
That is not a Chinese diamond for sure. Most diamond edge tools are from “Shapleigh’s Hardware”. I have quite a few hatchets/axes from them. You can spot the Chinese ones pretty easily. That is a nice shapleighs hardware store axe I’m guessing!
 
Those shapleigh axes had many different stamps. Some just said Diamond Edge. Some had that stamp. Some had diamond forged steel. That would be my guess still. I’m sure there are stamps I have never seen before.
