Totally arbitrary date, but its easy to sometimes only think of the new and innovative stuff on the market these days. There's something to be said about nostalgia, and seeing how far products and your tastes have come.

My edc would have been

-Fully serrated Air SOG in belt sheath (great knife, really liked the older Tomcats and Stingrays too)

-2AA maglite

My wish list would have been a BM 975 and black metal handled Spyderco Cricket...always wondered why they never made that knife in G-10.

I was 16 so I was probably carrying a Camillus "Lev-R-Lok"...tastes do change :D

the same Vik Huntman and Gerber multi-tool I've been carrying daily since 91.
(except for when I'm in a place where all cutting implements are forbidden)

I was still in high school so I think it went back and forth between a sak and a cheapo balisong from the daytona beach flea market

I was 10 years old as well. I was probably carrying something similar to what I carry now. A boy scout knife or SAK in my left front pocket and a large one handed opener in my back pocket. :D
The one hand knife would probably be a $2 bait shop knife, usually found at the front counter.

I know exactly what i was carrying- a Schrade 34OT. I toted that old knife for many a year

In 96 my EDC was a FS Spyderco Delica with the molded clip. That and I had a "Q" I sometimes carried too.

I was 26 and I'm fairly certain at that time I was carrying a benchmade/pat Crawford leopard cub

BM 800 AFCK, Bud Nealy O-1 Aikuchi, AG Russell One Hand knife and a Pat Crawford one piece Framelock.

Still have 'em all, still carry the Nealy and fhe Crawford.

little Schrade 3 blade. Loved that thing till I lost it. hmmm I should probably by another one :)

Probably an Old Timer and maybe a SAK Classic. I think I picked up a Gerber Gator folder somewhere around that time period, as well as a Buck Crosslock which became one of my most carried knives for a long time. That was back in the days before Super Walmarts when they still had 2 or 3 guys working the sporting goods counter and still sold pistols! *GASP*!!! ;) I bought a lot of knives from them back then (I graduated HS in '95).
