It's Official!!

oh man! I hope its not retro or im in trouble! Grats Mr. B! I take everything back I said in the last year or so. ;)

Congrats Bawanna, nothing retro right? Forget anything derogatory I said since I been here.

Finally!
congratulations Bawanna

as a mod on another forum, i can verify that our salaries cube every fortnight, it's in the rules.

actually we do get paid by the warm fuzzy feeling we get from defending the weak, the helpless, and spreading knowledge and skills to the new generations. in bawanna's case many generations.

bawanna, congrats and do not let them manners and rules over-ride your heart. i trust you to do the right thing.

OK, so much for the BS, let's get drunk.

Congrats "B",
I was a little confused, I was under the impression that you were already a Mod. Just shows how much out of the loop I was and probably still am.

I'm a mod on another forum as well so the cubed salary combined should really help out.
I am the weak, the helpless and the stooped so I guess I'm used to defending those things.

No cussin khukoo.

Ok lets get drunk.

yipchoy, your not out of the loop pal. Yangdu asked if I'd do it probably 6 months ago. We just apparently couldn't get all the eggs lined up in the basket right, a communication error on our part I presume.

mopar, you've been neglecting your people here at HI. Do you have a note of explanation? Hmmmm.

Do visit more frequently, we miss you when your absent.

I also looked and see several other people have their names in RED. I never really looked before until it was brought up.

Congrats on the appointment, although I'm new your demeanor appears to be something everyone should reflect..

I keep up on this forum on a daily basis, but I'm not one to post much if I don't have anything significant to contribute. And usually some of the long-time members have already jumped in before I could post anything anyways. But I still have the HIKV and like to check out the daily deals. But my HI khukuri collection has grown to over 100 pieces, so I really need to figure out a better way to display them instead of just having a huge pile on my coffee table and in some of the other rooms of my house. Especially since my grandson will be 1 year old this Saturday and is almost walking. My daughter told me I need to figure out something to do with them before he starts grabbing them off of the coffee table. The way that Bigbore has been grabbing them this last year, he may already have more than me? What have you guys that have large collections of khukuris figured out for display options? I don't think I have enough wall space to display them on the walls, and a system for hanging them would be problematic. Still trying to figure out what to do, so any suggestions would be appreciated!

My slide out peg board set up in the closet of my man cave works really well. I had to add a second leaf and I'm already pondering how to add a third.

Makes it easy to grab and admire, or grab and go to work. Easy to check and see if maintenance is needed.

I just tag and keep the sheaths in a tupperware tote out in the shop. I feel bad with them out there along with all the kardas and chakma's but whats a fella to do.

Everyone's congratulating him but ... just don't tell the dog.

Hmm, looks to me like the dog gets his nose and tongue too close to the flame, realizes that it's dangerous, and knocks it out of the woman's hand to protect her.

Brother Bob, I'm right at a hundo but slowing down signifacantly. At least a little, I still have three monthis for my first anniversary. I'm in a similar conundrum with what to do with them. Several hundred pounds of HI product, animal heads, ....! Kripes I wish my house was cement block not wood frame and drywall.
