It's Official!!

Brother Bob, I'm right at a hundo but slowing down signifacantly. At least a little, I still have three monthis for my first anniversary. I'm in a similar conundrum with what to do with them. Several hundred pounds of HI product, animal heads, ....! Kripes I wish my house was cement block not wood frame and drywall.

Yeah, one of my best friends is a taxidermist, so naturally most of my walls are already covered with shoulder mounts of various critters, along with a few life-size mounts - mountain lion, bobcat, javelina, and a barbary sheep, but the barbary is way too big for a wall, so it takes up some floor space, along with a number of rug mounts. So I'd need to pack away a bunch of that stuff if I wanted to clear enough wall space for khukuris.

I guess I just need to get a bigger house...

Well brother Bob, we seem to be on a similar page. My mounts cover two rooms with heads and rugs, mostly Zebra and Bear on the floor. Mainly African mounts on the walls. I'll just add this. A fellow hunter and friend of mine, Al Joseph, rest his sole, was a good friend. He has co-founder of Saint Judes with Danny Thomas but never gets any accolades albeit the money man behind his publishing prowess. I was at his home many, many times and now possess many of his personal arms, most notably his Winchester 21's amongst others. His trophy room is near impossible to explain. A two-thousand square foot addition. You entered with two full mount Lions with several crossed very large elephant ivory. Then a room with out space for anything else! Two full mount Capes and a full mount hippo. Ten foot ceilings without a square foot for anything else. The floors completely covered with bear rugs and elephant foot stools to sit upon. I can go in greater detail but, I will leave it at that. Just know, under the addition was his gun room. Money isn't everything but it seem to make one comfortable.

can't expand your house horizontally? can't add a floor? dig down. high water table? move. that's not healthy anyways.

you can always go to the south china sea, dump a load of stuff to make your own island, build a house on it big enough to hold everything, past, present and future. threaten to shoot any foreign intruders and claim a 200 mile territorial limit around you.

That's a fine idea. I'll rename it the South bawanna sea. Can I borry some moat monsters to stock the surrounding waters.
Them moat monsters do ok in salt water? Actually maybe we could filter the salt, I never much been into salt water. Too hard on stuff. And it's deep and I can't swim so good when I can't touch the bottom ya know?

the moat monsters don't like deep salty water either. dump enough stuff and you can have a gradual slope that you and the MMs will like. i'll send you some eggs when they lay a batch. they're very loyal and bond to the first family they see on hatching, so don't loan well. everyone else gets et.

there's quite a market for sea salt, filter it out, dry it and sell it to the supermarkets. you could build a ring atoll around your island, with a watergate or lock to let boats in and out, and freshen the water on the inside for you and the moaties. you'll need to catch an awful lot of fish for them tho. if you recall the scene from 'jurassic world' where the toothy thing eats the suspended great white shark, the MMs et two of those toothy things (not sharks) for breakfast yesterday. (you have to watch out for the moat monster's food as well as the moat monsters around here) reminded me of piranhas stripping a tapir carcass in the amazon. except the MMs eat the bones too.

*-i think shorty might be laying some eggs in a decade or so, she's been acting broody and i think she's wandering outside the moat in the forbidden forest looking for somewhere to construct her den. or she might just be looking for tresspassers to supplement her diet. she's a real sweetie. just look at that smile. a real miss cuddles. she's almost full grown at 50 ft. long.
