It's Old Timer time, fellas: Show your U.S.-made OTs

A 61OT followed by its older cousin, a Schrade Walden built Craftsman 9514 (Schrade 861).

Sorry, I couldn't resist . . . it's almost an Old Timer! I got this knife second-hand, and it was so sharp it would split atoms! I've never been able to get one that sharp in my entire life. It was so far beyond rolling hair off your forearm that it was scary. That Schrade 1095 was sure good stuff!

I agree. I can’t get any knives sharper than my old schrade

Another user 34ot, this one is a a little more firm in the snap department and has the better hafting characteristic of the earlier 34ot’s. The walden and most NY USA stamped ones were more slim and rounded in the handles than later 34ot’s. They walden and NY USA old timers often had more richly colored delrin as well.

This knife has been in my Stockman drawer for years!! I'm not sure what model it is, but I'm sure you guys will tell me!! Unused - the marks are on the scanner!!
It has the usual working-stockman blades, and what seems to be barehead black Delrin handles and birdseye rivets!!! It is 1/16th" shy of 4" closed!!
Nice firm smooth action!! No visible number, so maybe not an OT??!!Black Stock 1.jpg

This is the only one that I currently have. It belonged to my father-in-law. He was born in Washington DC in 1920. Served in the signal corps in WW 2, New Guinea and Philippines. After the war he married a local girl in the Philippines. He would have purchased this after he returned to the US in 1976. This is the only knife he had, as far as I know. He was a simple humble man when I met him in 1984, working as a janitor.

That’s basically an 882Y with black handles instead of yellow. I don’t recall seeing a black one in catalog.
