I think this may have been the 1959 prototype 8OT. Check out the shape of the shield and the milled back. Possibly (?) the rarest 8OT in existence?

The knife of which everyone ought to own at least one.... the 8OT..... found this mostly carried, lightly used, Schrade a while back. Great size for a stockman, wonderfully made...

and, an almost new looking Schrade Walden trapper.... just a beautifully made knife. While I'm not a huge trapper fan, this one is the "Goldilocks" of trappers.... right in between the Case large and small trappers, in size.
