It's On Like Donkey Kong

I am wanting to play just for some added motivation. I am trying to drop 10-15lbs, and have been fighting it for several months. I have lost weight before doing like cody1 mentions, just cutting out processed foods. Now I have an exercise routine that plays heck with my diet, due to added nutrient requirements.

My route right now is to make sure I don't skip any meals, and try to keep dinner, which is usually my big meal, in check. I stay regular with exercise so hope to see some results from what I am doing. Also have been getting some additional exercise by playing in the woods on some days.

Blade is June 10-12.
That's five pounds a month.
Intense, but doable.

I just put skim milk in my coffee!!!

5lbs a month is a good goal. Seems like it is easiest to hit when you have farther to go though. The last few can take a while.

One biscuit AND skim milk in the coffee? You trying to kill yourself off on the first day? Sheezzz man...

OTOH, real men drink coffee black. Like my boss said, "My dad taught me to drink coffee black, that way you can drink it anywhere you go..."

:D

I don't know of ANYONE who could'nt stand to lose at least a few pounds. I just weighed in at 219 lbs and even at a shade over six-feet I need to drop about 10 lbs to feel right in my own skin. Thing is, we ALL know what weight we carry best. Unfortunately, ours is a culture and epidemic of obesity.

I lift at least 5 days a week and eat pretty healthy. I am way within the healthy range for my height/weight(165 at 5'11"). I used to weigh 145 and over the last 3 years I have managed to put on some weight which was my goal.

I don't eat or inject any of the garbage supplements or even worse things that run wild in my gym.

Now, if I wanted to have washboard abs...sure I could trim up some. But, I know some of my other goals would suffer. Like increasing my benchpress.

Lol, so I guess I am pretty happy where I am although I continue to push in the gym and eat healthy!

Same as Moose here. 6 feet of pure sexiness, and a dainty 250 lbs!

6'3" 195lb here......I love me some good whey protein

I run 30min every other day, push-ups and crunches on days I don't run.

I went all out last year, lifting weights like crazy, messed up my back and some joints over doing it.
Since then I just keep my figure lookin good for my lady, I"LL BE BACK.

KEEPS THE FLEXXXUM SAUCE ROLLIN.......

The worst part about being this tall is finding pants that are long enough.

Glad there is a store in the mall that offers my length (The Buckle) I love this store....

I have problems finding pants in my waist/ inseam combo too. One of these days, I'm gonna snap and just shop at the JR's section.

I'm a 36/34 kinda guy. I can wear 32 in the length, but I like my pants to where when I sit, it doesn't show my socks. I got some wierd quirks, but seeing someone's socks when the sit down, creeps me out. Not sure why, but it just ain't cool.

My buddy and I laff and talk about being a yard around. Put up the chains, I'll just roll my fat ass down the field to measure first downs.

The rules are simple: if you don't make weight, you pay the other person $100.
Frankly, I hope we both "win," but it sure would be nice to have some extra pocket change at Blade. :p

So you're saying that if you both stay fat, you each get $100?
Sounds like a win/win to me.

I wear a 36/30 cause I am nothing but torso. The missus however is nothing but leg. Her legs stop somewhere near my belly button. It's crazy.

Okay, so anyways, today, breakfast, instead of the usual Jimmy Dean sausage egg n cheese biscuit (or two) with a V8, I had Cream of Wheat, two servings, somewhere around ~500 calories. Throughout the day I am going to limit how much of my homemade sweet tea I drink as well (which isn't that sweet, something like two cups sugar per 2.5 gallons tea) down to one quart in the morning, one in the evening, and water the rest of the time. So my sweet tea per quart (Guyot Backpacker bottle) is approximately ~154 calories, so about 310 for the day in tea, maybe 460 if I have two quarts in the evening.

Buy a bag of apples to keep by your desk. Snack on them. The fiber and vitamins will do you lots of good and they burn so easy you don't need to worry. AS time goes the heavy lifting needs to be limited. At one point I weighed in a 235 at 6'1". Now I'm right at 200. pants 32/34L. I competed until 1998 in jiu-jitsu. I won the silver medal at the the us nationals From the now defunct Combat jiu-jitsu association. Ken Shamrock, Shelden Mars, from grapplers edge, and Nate Marquart, all were involved. I'm onto a much more clam and less violent time in my life. At 42 now i'm too old to play with the kids. Too much P!ss and vinigar... I'll be running a half marathon in about 3 months. Need to check that one off the bucket list. I'm just one of those freaks, though. It's my addiction. You Fellas are on the right track. Small easy steps. Any one here ever work on the Power Plate machines? I have been getting very good results with my clients on them. Really helping their joints...

I had actually planned on going and getting some of these after reading your remarks previously. Didn't get a chance yesterday to make it to the grocery store. Does the type of apple matter, or will any apple do?

If you guys are in 34 britches, you ain't fat. Two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water once or twice a day. Along with all the other healthy stuff you're doing..

Amazon has 50% off some fitness equipment, for those who are interested.

6'5" 218lbs here (that's why I got stuck flying slow airplanes.) Before I retired, I kept my weight around 195 (+/- 3lbs) for 30 years. Now that I fly a recliner and a keyboard, the pounds are creeping up even though my diet hasn't changed. And at at 60yrs old, I'm not running anymore unless a carnivore is chasing me.

I just need the weather to warm up so I can get back to my yard work and boost my metabolism a bit.

And regarding pants, just try finding 34W - 38L at your local shops! I've had to mail order my pants since the 1970s! :)
