It's snark in here.

I carry one quite a bit and really like it. With 12 or 15 pounds and water you forget it's on.

Thanks Trade, looks like a great pack. Just ordered a Maxpedition Spartan wallet and the Beefy pocket organizer, should be here tomorrow.

Awesome those were the photos I was looking for but couldnt find easily. It looks like a real simple and lightweight pack, but you were right it probably needs a sternum strap. It looks like it could just roll off the shoulders. I am far from a bag expert, I just like to admire this stuff.

I've actually added a sternum strap since then.

I got this small hunting bag last year. It's made to place turkey calls, hunting license, etc, in. I made it into my kitchen kit:

A Vargo alcohol bottle will fit into the outside pouch. I've never had one of these leak before, but a bag and rubber band in case it does. Don't want alcohol leaking inside my backpack:

Just weighed my backpack. 19 lbs, no problem.

Thanks. Got it at Wally last year. No price on it, and the guy sold it to me for $6.

Nice kit, but I don't see a knife in it... What's up with that!

Almost forgot to put the ol corn cob pipe in my pack. Nothing like stopping on the trail, and firing up a bowl.

LOL, reminds me of my dog, she'll actually whack me with her paws to wake me up.

LOL, that would be hilarious!! I barely ever sleep but once in a blue moon when im sleeping my son comes into my room and pats my forehead at a steady pace until i wake up. Its highly annoying HAHA

I like it too. I heard they have already cancelled it.

Man i hope not, i really like this show. That will piss me off. Its a fox show right? Not ABC? (Already Been Canceled)

Ewwwww........Um..........No!

I had never heard of Snody before Kabar announced they would be working with him. I looked at other Snody stuff, watched some vids and......well, I was not motivated about this collab.......now I see I was right.

Maybe I'm being short sighted on this but.......oh well.

I was the same way. Of course Ka-Bar working with any new designer gets me somewhat interested.

So I made another round and hit the pawn shops and gun stores I didn't hit yesterday. First stop I got lucky.

NEF 12ga 3" chamber with a modified choke. Some light surface rust that will scrub off in about 2 seconds and the buttstock has some scratches but everything is nice and tight as it should be. Guy came down $20 and let me have it for ~$95 OTD with tax and fees.

Found a second one just like it at another shop for $100 + tax and fees. I was tempted but I already had this one. If it's there next week I'll try and haggle and see if I can't bring it home too.

Went to another shop and the place was filled with nice collector items like a couple mauser pistols. One was a "red 9" 9mm. Had a nice Browning Hi-power that was well loved but still tight and a bunch of other really cool stuff. And he loved to talk too. Which is fine by me, I got all day.

All-in-all there's seven shops I think that I'll be making the rounds in probably once a week looking for whatever beater guns they get in.

First shotty I fired like this the owner had blown up the barrel, sawed it off below the hand guard, and modified it for a pistol grip. Was definitely a wrist breaker. Anyways, VERY nice find for below 100 bucks. Sadly most of the gun shops and pawn shops around here think that if ANYTHING is old or even looks antique means its worth a couple hundy.

BTW have you ever seen a bolt action shotgun with an adjustable choke? The one I have use was prone to jamming but the choke idea was kind of novel. Essentially the choke was built into the barrel (looked kinda like a suppressor) and you would just turn it to pre-marked points to choke the gun how you liked. I cannot for the life in me remember who the maker was, but it was found for about 50-60 bucks private sale. Pretty sure it was a 16ga, weird but cool at the same time.

I've seen those and some pumps too. I think mossberg had something called a select-a-choke or some such thing. Actually saw a pump with one today.

Yah I want to say it was a mossberg or possibly an old marlin? Pretty sure the intention was just a straight up hunting gun for fowl or deer. It had a pretty long barrel to boot. Anyways you still have a pretty nice find there.
