It's the 22nd!

As much as I'd like a peek into their natural habitat I wouldn't want them to get ambushed again

Shipping Notice today for 5.1/3V Second ordered on 22nd...Super Service,Thanks Ellie!

I don't think ambushing a man with a sharp and pointy object in his hand who spends most of his day making sharp and pointy objects is a good idea...

Have you been able to find the blemish?

Love both of those, great choice! That natural canvas always looks good.

I worked quality control in a custom metal fabrication shop, and I guess I better break out the micrometers/calipers and start measuring as I am really not seeing flaws.

Yeah the natural micarta looks good to me as well. Most of mine are canvas camo and that tends to vary in looks a lot from batch to batch.

I guess I'll have my factory 2nd today in the next hour, instead of Monday. Gotta love those early deliveries. I'll give an update on the blemishes if any. I hear they are hard to find.

I got my 5.1 3v 2nd in!!! Gave it a thorough inspection. Where do I start? Blade geometry is top notch. No scuffs anywhere on the blade. The only minor thing, I say again minor. There was a small sewing needle head sized ding under the heat treat marking. That's literally all I could find. I think I personally got a steal. This TINY ding in my opinion wouldn't make it a second. That being said I don't own a knife buisness either. The blade finish is superb. I'll upload a few photos later today. It's a nice enough day here to take this hunk of steel out. I would have paid regular price for this knife. Won't be my last purchase from this awesome company.

Yep, I think that's what you need. Maybe the minimum blade height didn't pass and it seems like the belly of the one with natural canvas is a bit off. Also, from what I noticed the edge isn't the same level as the ricasso and normally they are at the same level.

Knife chop- The 3v blades had to have their edges re-worked a bit and that was stated the day of the 1st Monday sale. Guy has very high edge standards in my opinion even with the 2cds.
After really going over them, maybe the stars on the 3v model are not as visible as on the 20cv model and the stainless one has a very light finish flaw above the flag etching but I did not notice it until I broke out the magnifying glass. I do not have another non 2cd 5.1 to compare the edge height and level with, but quality wise I would put these up against any of my others.

The ricasso measured 1.484 inches and the blade height was 1.490 inches on the 3v blade. Had to measure you got my curiosity going.
On the stainless model both measurements were 1.485 inches. For what that is worth-

I can't find anything wrong with my 3V that came in today. As an added bonus the new sheaths allow my Sage Wood dangler from my older 4.1 to bolt right up. Totally pumped about that because he doesn't have any in stock for the new 5.1 on his site. So if you have one laying around try it out.

Very cool DISCO. Feel free to post that in the 'Sheaths/Attachments' thread if you would like as well.

I got my second today and it's great as well. The only thing I could see was there appeared to be some "lines" in the finish running parallel with the edge. Just maybe a place where the finish wasn't completely right? Not a big deal. I couldn't tell anything else and I'd probably not have noticed the other if I hadn't been looking for it
