I've been working on a frame lock design!

Uhhh, if i had a tapmatic i would send you one, but never heard of it. Large model, is this gonna be over 9"? Blade over 3.5"? Will the Chisel be convex grind or ground like your tantos with the green handles recently finished? Never mind,,, re-read thread and 8.3/3.3" blade.
cool. still what knid of chisel grind?

Thanks.
Sid

I'll bust out the hollow to convex, flat to convex, hollow saber, full flat, all kinds of compound grinds! All chisel but maybe double grinds later. Swedges too! the grinds are my favorite part of knifemaking for sure. My flat/hollow katana/tanto/spanto influenced grinds are the most popular and I like doing them... a high saber hollow is cool as well but I am not really known for them, I may convert you guys!

One thing about many of my grinds that is hard to show... many are near zero bevel near the ricasso and thicken towards the tip. This makes for incredible versatility as strength is in the right spots and thin slicing geometry also fits in.

American Tanto style grind like the green rayskin/D2 ones.... I think that sounds killer! I will do the drop/spearpoint at first and then a harpoon and American tanto shaped blade, probably a modified wharncliffe too.

Yo! Yo yo yo,,,Daniel, man i'm salivating. Bring on your nastiest grinds Sir. Swedge Harpoon with flat to Convex sounds good to me ha ha. No seriously that would be mythical.

Wow double post, you know what that means... it's on like donkey kong!

Or my internet is still screwed up... no it couldn't be that, I say it's on! :D

I'm going to put my vote in for:

Min .25 thick blade

D2 or s35vn (though I have heard the HT is a little more difficult to nail)

Full Ti scales at .125 or thicker

Chisel grind (of course)

4" blade (go big or go home)

Tip up carry

And I think that pretty much does it. Oh yeah, and a pinch here and there of Fairly magic.

This would be perfect for me also. I would definitely take one. I hope this actually gets created.

That sounds awesome so does a nightmare grind with green glow scales... When can we see a proto

That sounds cool! I like that grind style.

Proto - I hope within a month or two and certainly by the end of the year. I am slowly buying all the new knifemaking gear I need to make them top notch and once I have all my measuring gear, reamers, etc it is on! :D That and I need a big piece of Ti and steel!

Yes, Yes, and Yes.

Full beefy, Full tactical, Full overbuilt, Full sexy Chisel.

 sounds good!

Sounds great! They will happen, they have been a goal for me to make all year and I have been working on everything for a while now. I now have my design pretty much finalized and it is just a matter of buying everything. :D I had no idea it would cost this much but who wants anything but the best! Once I am set up for folders they will be my main focus, I am excited!

I'm gettin old so do a 3.5" blade for me please. :D

:D lol sounds good Lycosa! I am shooting for a 3.3" blade at the moment so very close!

Well it's settled then,,,Sick grinds for everyone! On thick 3.3" blades : )

Aww shit, the worlds gonna end in a few months. Damn : (

Well, if the world doesn't implode then 2013 is gonna be a great year.
