Izula-II....here it is.

We are now taking reservations for the IZULA II.

The longer handle & scales are very nice options.

Great job ESEE Knives!

Oh my. This one will be a must have.

I look at it and see a near perfect knife for white tail and even small game.

Man, I would love a best of both worlds situation. The extra half inch from v.2 would be fantastic (for my great big ol' mitts), but I want to retain the larger hole from the v.1 (because I can get my pinky finger through it whilst using the knife).

Jeff - what's the chance of getting that #0001? :) Seriously though, I'm needing one of them this year for Christmas.
LOL that was my thought, I'd LOVE to have that #0001, although realistically i think it ought to be auctioned off or something, kind of like the recent auction to support BladeForums etc.

Very nice. I was just on Knifework, thinking about ordering the Izula and a set of scales, but it looks like I'll be holding off until this one comes out !!

Will the jimping be improved over the original Izula? While I love my Izula's and use them everyday, I won't lie, they have the least functional jimping of any knife I own. I personally would like jimping going all the way to 1.25" from the tip.

I'm curious why the hole has been made smaller than the original IZULA. Won't that make it useless as a finger hole?

I'm betting the did it so the micarta would be thick enough to survive use.
it'll still be a good size for lanyards.

Are you serious? Still making a decision on my first esee and now you throw another great one in the mix. My wife is going to kill me once I finally feed the hunger for these knives. I had finally thought I would buy the 4 for backpacking and the izula for edc with the micarta scales. Now I have to decide between the izula 1 and 2. Any initial thoughts comparing the two? Jeff, what was the thought behind the changes?
