Jack Wolf disappointment...

I’ve read a lot of things about Mike Stuart over the years, some good, some bad. Now I don’t really know the man, don’t mean to give the impression I do. Also I’m going back well over ten, maybe fifteen years now, but I still remember meeting him when I stopped by the Bark River factory as I was attending active shooter training in the area.

He sold me a couple of really nice BlackJack knives that I fell in love with and that he had on display that weren’t even for sale, at a heavily discounted price. I still have them as a matter of fact. The man was super nice to me and my partner who had attended the training with me.

Actually, every one of the employees we met there were as nice as could be. They talked to us and gave us a little mini tour of the place despite it being after hours by the time we got there. Super supportive of law enforcement and just a generally nice person was the impression I came away with and still have to this day.
so you had cash in hand and wanting to buy product and he was decent to you.....im not surprised at all. hes a good salesmen on the front end on the right day.

wait til you have a problem with one of his products and see how he is then.....thats what we are referring to......

Again, I don’t mean to imply or convey anything from my post other than the experience I had at the time. The man was very nice and treated us with courtesy when he didn’t have to. Now on a different day would we have gotten the same treatment? Maybe, maybe not, we can’t know because it didn’t happen, so all I can recount is what I experienced on that particular day.

I can’t speak ill of a man who treated me well, even if he does have a bad reputation. Again, just my personal experience on that particular day, folks can take it for what it’s worth. . .

That's too bad. I was wondering a bit about the history of the brand as they seemed to come out of nowhere.

Looking at their page it says it's a guy who likes knives in Arizona with a CAD program and some contacts in China with knife factories. Who would have expected some bad examples with that business model?

I know a guy.

Obviously none of us has ever had any GEC, Boker, Case, Queen, RR, Buck etc. with any issues, so it is shocking to see a knife with any issues :)

I'm out! No more knives for me. If they can have problems then I am out.

I think it's safe to say that any JWK customer is covered by Benjamin himself in case of bad QC.
