.....yes, makes sense. Thank you. Being in UK, that doesn't spring to mind so much for us.!A javelina (peccary) is a wild pig-like critter - I assume that’s where he got the name for this model.
- yes, there is most certainly an animal grace to this folder, it really is a beaut, taking its cue no doubt from the Sowbelly.
A rat - an insult, sir- I was thinking, more, an elegant rhino..!
Got it. So the manufacturer calls that a "satin" finish, which really isn't the best description I would say. It is a high end finish truth be told, but it is a certain aesthetic that is not for everyone. It changes in the light depending on how you hold it, sometimes you can't see the lines and sometimes they just pop. In that picture you commented on, there is a shadow cast onto it by my phone, which caused a bit of a dark spot. hard to avoid when I am trying to capture the grind lines. That being said, I believe they also offer hand sanded finishes, or tumbled finishes, so depending on customer feedback, I can always request different finishes. This one seems to really be popular, and I think it looks good with the rough finished Micarta and the bead blasted Ti, but everyone has different tastes. So my ears are always open and I appreciate the feedback.
I love how stout the blade looks in the 9th picture!Fellas! After what felt like forever, I have this project back on track. I am more excited and motivated then ever before!
Since the last thread about my project became long in the tooth, I decided to start a new one. If you are interested, the previous thread can be found here: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/jack-wolf-knives-the-wolf-den.1787328/
New prototypes are rolling in and they look and feel amazing. These are from my new manufacturer, the name of which I agreed not to disclose. No promises yet but I am aiming to start sales at or before Blade Show in June. Thanks for your patience!
Here is the revised prototype for the Little Bro Jack in Black Micarta. This slipjoint knife has a closed length of 3.5” (90mm), and features a hollow ground, swoopy clip point blade that is 2.7” (68mm). The fluted bolsters and liners are integral titanium. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. -Ben

I agree this would be great! Will there be any multi blade models?
- entirely agree. Have been banging on about this to Ben - I sound like a stuck record. These knives look great! I've been tempted to get one for a while. Any chance you all will ever use wood covers instead of micarta? A nice cocobola would be great.

- very nice too. I missed out on the Cyborg Jack, but am in for one of the new Big Bro Jacks end of this week.View attachment 2150856
Finally got my hands on one. I think these are really well built. The M390 was difficult to sharpen but that was expected. I'm interested to carry it the next few weeks.
Any idea when this pattern will be coming back?Dropping Tomorrow, July 15th at 2 PM ET

I've been thinking about getting a feel good jack too. You'll have to let me know what you think of it.Ordered one of the Feelgood Jacks. Look forward to its arrival. I met Ben, got to chat and see protos a few Blade Shows ago. Have been rooting for he and the company's success.
I like the Feelgood Jack a lot, Mr. S. Carried it much of the last week. Totes well in accompanying slip in shorts pocket. Feels good in hand, carbon fiber is cool, super slicer (so far as modern slip joints go). Strong pull, pinchable. Last pic is comparing the Feelgood's size and sheepfoot to GEC 15.I've been thinking about getting a feel good jack too. You'll have to let me know what you think of it.

I took advantage of some sponsored dealers sale to finally order a Little Bro in nebula fat carbon. The price seemed agreeable at last, haha.I finally decided to pull the tigger on a coffin jack after years of wanting to give one a try. They are currently on sale 20% off at many dealers this week.
