I randomly found this while looking for the hearing aid I'd dropped. (Found that, too.)

Wise man!I didn't get this old by eating random geezer spume.
Wise choice Jer, I hate that kind of behaviour!A 1980 two-springed '47. The springs are carbon.

I've gone further off church meals. There was a breakfast a couple weeks ago, I managed to get to it, there was plenty of food left, and all the food looked good.
But there was a geezer in front of me leaning over all the food as he chatted about it with the server. I didn't get this old by eating random geezer spume.
Nice Camillus Jer
LOL!Who needs the National Health Service?

Shame about the lack of a stamp, but that has some lovely character JerView attachment 2999009View attachment 2999010
I didn't swish my fingers around in the box this is in, but it randomly caught my eye.
There's no name on it anywhere.
Thanks!Shame about the lack of a stamp, but that has some lovely character Jer![]()
Just the same here, I used to be able to pick up butcher/kitchen knives, carving sets, and kitchen cutlery, readily, and inexpensively. That has really changed in the last decade, but then there are barely any fleamarkets left hereThanks!
I have two toolboxes full of old carbon kitchen/butcher knives, so the choice of toolbox was random, too. I still buy such knives when I see them reasonably priced and respectably conditioned, but that doesn't happen as often as it used to. Maybe most of the people who inherited them have died.
I was surprised to find two Chinese cleavers in the bottom of this toolbox, one of them showing real hammer marks.
Yes, and I'm expecting the antique malls to be replaced by unaffordable thrift shops.Just the same here, I used to be able to pick up butcher/kitchen knives, carving sets, and kitchen cutlery, readily, and inexpensively. I get that a lot too Jer!Yes, and I'm expecting the antique malls to be replaced by unaffordable thrift shops.
Just another example of why they call me Sunbeam.
