I was so excited because I was supposed to be buying my dream knife today. I sold a couple knives last night to help pay for it, knives I hated to sell. I got paid for some of em last night and was supposed to be getting paid for more today. Then this morning my phone dings telling me I have an email, so I get up to read it, because I'm waiting on the seller to let me know if he's gonna be able to ship it to me today. Anyways, I've got three emails from PayPal, saying that Jason Yao has did three charge backs to my PayPal account, doing a total damage of over $800. I had $307 already in my PayPal account, so it took my PayPal account down to around negative $500!!!
Not only is this something that I can't afford whatsoever, but it couldn't have happened at a possibly worse time! I could have handled it any other day, but today is the day I was supposed to be paying for my grail!!! I was so mad I was in tears. This little sob just ruined my whole freakin year!!! Grimy Sleesebag. Now what can I do? Nothing! He's claiming he didn't receive two knives I mailed him months ago, when I know damn well he did, he's just taking advantage of the fact that I didn't pay for tracking, cause it was shipped to him in Canada, and at the time I wasn't even aware you could get tracking threw USPS to Canada. So yea, I'm out $800 that I don't have whatsoever, all thanks to this little con artist. JasonCoCoPuffs, KnifeLover1225, he goes by several different names but has been banned on all the forums because everyone found out he was a little scam artist. I was always afraid this would happen after hearing what a scam artist he was. But man, why now? Why did this have to happen at the worst possible time ever?!?

BBrad,your customs form,into Canada,has a trackable number ? No ?

Wow that sucks man :( I'd be looking through any email or document I had to find some sort of proof of shipment..

man o man. i realize there is always two sides to every story, but from this side, this is one of the worst thing i've heard in a long time. man that is low.....this yan yuan or jason yao or whatever his name is had better watch who he messes with. sooner or later he'll screw with the wrong person and they will come after him. where i come from people have been known to stomp someone to near death or just plain shoot 'em over being ripped off.

hope it all works out for you.....

That really sucks man, but I don't think I would be posting tha screen shot of transaction details. I know if my name was on that list and you posted up my business for the world to see we would have problems.

Did you send him the customs number through your paypal account when you marked they where shipped?

There, I cropped the picture to hide every elses identity. I'm glad you weren't on there, I would hate to have problems.

Nope, I know, I pretty much set myself up to get screwed. I didn't know at the time that the customs number was trackable

So let me get this straight, someone can reach into your (or anyone they've bought from) Paypal account weeks after a finalized transaction and snatch their money back? Certainly there has to be a process via Paypal to do this involving proof and or documentation on his part.

If this is where Paypal is nowadays after already absorbing what they do with every transaction, it's less and less my pal.

Sorry about your trouble. Maybe calling this person out via pm's and email will allow for resolution here.

Maybe the post office keeps this information in a database. If you can give them a time, date, destination, and what PO it was shipped from they can recall the information.

yep, guess so. And man, this has been like 6 months to a year ago!!!!! Thats what really gets me!

As far as calling him out, he's been banned from all the forums for this exact kind of stuff

Wow, I'm sorry man. Do you recall if you paid via a credit card for your shipping? Sometimes there is a transaction number with the shipper (UPS or USPS) that either could potentially use to first id and recall the transaction, then perhaps track the shipping since customs declaration was a factor.

I still cannot stomach that Paypal would allow rescinding of funds so easily. That really stinks.

This Jason Yao guy appears to be a disgrace to the human race. It will someday come back to bite him in his sry little a$$!!!!

Well I'd drive to Canada over $800. Just my .02. I always ship with signature confirmation to avoid this crap.

This why we have FEEDBACK, so we will know not to do business with unreliable people.

Do not do business with unreliable people.
If you cannot track it, don't send it.
Keep all paperwork forever.
Always insure it.

Did you get any kind of contact from paypal saying why they allowed the funds withdrawn? Not an email or anything?

That sucks! How does Paypal allow someone to go back 6+ months on a transaction? You are telling me that there is not time limit to file any sort of dispute?

There is a time limit, but since he paid using a credit card apparently, time limits don't matter.
Talk about a bad day!
