As others have said, call PP and discuss it with them. Ask to talk to someone who didn't just graduate high school. Also figure out what CC company he's going through and call them. Get a list together of his scam outings and email to both.

He's still an active member there. This is going to get ugly!

Under what name? Edit:Wrong guy

I don't think PayPal has transferred the money to anybody yet. They have placed a hold to lock-up the money (yeah, I know this doesn't do you any good), but this looks like the beginning of the dispute investigation. You should be able to have your say right now before they make a permanent decision and keep or return your money.

Couple of questions:
1. Paypal doesn't resolve disputes oder than 45 days.
2. Paypal contacts you first to let you know that a dispute has been filed (this is when they put your funds on hold).
3. If it was a credit card chargeback, the still have to have an investigation first where they contact you to get your side of the dispute.
4. Even credit cards do not follow-up on claims that are filed 6-months later.

Now if you do your research and can find other evidence that Jason Yao has done this on other transactions, try to get these other guys to make statements about being charge-back after seemingly good transactions. PayPal and the CC companies will also have records of inordinately high incidences of claims for money-back by Jason Yao. They would be able to see a pattern to this guy's activities.

Call Paypal immediately.

Exactly!! This is how this works. Paypal can not in no shape, form or fashion just take your money unless it's
something you are not telling us. Not saying that this guy isn't a scam artist, but it looks as if he only has Paypal
holding this money until he receives his knives. Now that he can do. You really needed to send this & all knives
with some sort of signature confirmation from now on if you don't know who you are dealing with. I put Insurance on
most of mine, track it, have them sign for it & then have my receipt returned. That's if I don't know the person.
Paypal will not just take his word for this. It has to be proven somehow as to show them that his knives were never
received. They can not & will not do this!! I have been there and know this. They are only holding this in limbo until
it's resolved. Better call them and explain it to them just like this. If not, you could own Paypal if he did wind up with
your knives and they issued a complete refund to this so called buyer. Just sayin bro.......Get on it now!!!!!!! I wish you
all the best, but look at this as a learning experience and pray it never happens again. I will do my best to contact this
guy myself if you want to release his information to me. Don't think I won't have my say with ANY Scam artist, but it's not
what you are thinking as far as what Paypal has done to you. Trust me on that!! If I am wrong, I would love to know & you
could call me and I will help you to counter them with my Lawyers. How is that?

This really freaks me out. I sold this same guy a $300 knife 6 or 7 weeks ago. He says that he didn't get it. USPS doesn't offer tracking or insurance on the priority flat rate box we agreed upon. So if the knife actually got lost in the mail then we're both out of luck. I'm guessing that he is a scammer and I'm screwed.
I think the only thing that may be a saving grace for me is that he agreed to the shipping arrangements.
I need to call the Canadian Postal Service and ask about the customs number I have.

Thank you brother. This is exactly what I'm talking about. He claims he didn't receive your knife either huh? We're not the only ones hes done this to. I even said from the get go that international shipping was at his risk, and he agreed, but now this? This dude is such a scam artist.

Now I see why I only ship to the US. I hate this has happened to the both of you & please do not in anyway think that I wasn't understanding as to what you were saying, but I am only going by Paypal's rules & regulations. Any knife shipped to Canada or any other country it suppose to be known ahead of time that the seller can not be held responsible for customs if the knife doesn't show.

Good luck to the both of you and I would contact the customs officials in Canada and have a talk with them. In the meantime forget Paypal as he has you until you do get it corrected. It's not his money though and that's what you both need to remember. That's all I am going to say!!! Good Luck & God Bless the USA!!!

+1 on the CONUS shipping

Thats why there's a canadian exchange.

I mean no disrespect to people who want to ship outside the us. But with stuff like this going on, if I can't track it, its not leaving my house.

The "at his risk" isn't true though.

And, have you called PayPal yet?

that sucks, what a dirt bag,,people like this ruin it for the good members in other counrtries

I misread your post. I thought you said here instead of there. I also was thinking of the wrong guy, so I'm just completely off Today.

I'll shoot Ron a note so he knows what's up.

He has been re-banned here fairly recently... I found him under a different name and Esav dropped him in the shark tank.

If someone did this to me, I don't care where they live, I'd be showing up on their doorstep and asking about my money. You know, a bus ticket to Canada really isn't that expensive, and no one has guns up there either. I'm not saying you should threaten him with violence, I just think perhaps if you showed up personally at his doorstep and said "I know you have my knives, either give me my money or give me the knives" he might be so taken off guard that he just gives them back to you.

Maybe somebody can help me out here. I tried calling Canada Post and they are closed for the day. I can't find anything on their website to track my package through customs. Is there a way to track a USPS package through the Canada Post?

Id call paypal. Let em know what he's up to and give em a link to this. Be proactive, that's the only way your gonna save you paypal account

As an aside, I'd like to comment for a moment on what a few have already pointed out, that this fellow is a "black eye" to the entire international community, which often struggles to find not just the knife they want, but also hopes for an honest seller who is willing to ship overseas.

Honesty is a two-way street, and an international seller/buyer may have as much trepidation about selling to/buying from a US citizen as a US citizen may have in going through with an international deal. The solution is to do your homework and take care in your dealings; it is NOT to adopt a broad policy of refusing to sell to/buy from someone in another country. For the most part, people are honest in their dealings, but there are a few "bad apples" out there, internationally AND domestically. Yes, I know that shipping internationally is a big PITA, and if that is the reason you don't want to deal with it, then that is fine. But let's not let one POS spoil it for the whole gang.

Just shut up. What you are talking about is illegal and stupid. It IS a threat. And Canadians do have guns ...

Stop stirring up trouble with perilously bad advice.

CWL killed it with this advice... Go to Paypal, let them know whats up with this guy and the trail of bad he's left throughout the web. In the mean time call the guy with "your dream knife" and ask him to hold it. Most knife folks are good folks, the few that aren't tend to get sorted out quickly unless you go by a screen name from Mortal Kombat.

Esav... don't give away our secrets... Canada's only weapon is that morons think we don't have weapons, eh?

BigBrad....
Quiet frankly, I find it hard to believe you aren't taking this seriously. Yes, you are wining and clearly upset... but bro.... "I'm too scared to call?":barf: Stop dregging out the drama and call Paypal. The money has NOT been taken out of your account and this guy's history follows him wherever he goes. At this point, it will only happen if you lay down and let it happen. MAN-UP and take care of bizzness!!!
