Hi!
I have two beautiful Halfrich folders, one town and country in ivory and one 1306 in stag and M4, one of my top three favorites. I have used it a lot. But, some years ago the spring broke, a sad, sad day. I tried to get in touch vith mr Halfrich, but he is retired nowdays.
Then I sent an email to Keith Johnsson who made me an fantastic Barlow to my specs some year ago (Also one of my all time favorites).
He is very easy going and nice, a true gentleman. A couple of weeks later I had the knife back in Sweden in fantastic shape! Mr Johnson also put his initials on the inside of the spring, now I have an Halfrich/Johnson
. (Johnson also mentioned that Halfrich knives are beutiful and excellent made).
Johnson then told me that the spring never vill break again. It is a lot of steel in it, still no nail breaker. Great walk & talk! Look att the picture from Keith. He made room to the edge against the new spring. Otherwise the blade would slam into it.
