I'd like to see pics of the knife out of the vice after that test... and just how far it will bend then return to true

I don't think any knife could have returned to true after that bend, but who knows. I think that the magic ingredient in SR77 is Rubber:eek:

OK, one of you lucky hogs who picked up a FBM clamp it in a vise and get out the cheater bar. Let's compare it to the DF! I would love to see a side by side test. :D

Hey No Dogs Allowed!!:grumpy: Don't make me break out the Antifeeze Coolant!

and to think infi is even tougher! blows me away!!!!!! ;)

Well I was hoping that someone would say that, and as the legendary skunk himself stepped up, I am all the more confident!!!!

I wonder how tough those concrete blocks were... they looked a bit like breeze blocks to me!

Jerry, any chance of a side by side comparison?? ;) ;) I really wanna see an INFI destruction test vid or something... not like the Cold Steel stuff, but more of a 'this is the toughest steel on the planet... here's my proof...'

I know the knifetests site say they have a BM on the way, but its been like that for ages....

:p  (sorry, Im new to Busse, have a FBM in the post and Im like a small child at Christmas at the moment...)

From Dumpster Dan "I took the knife to 42 degrees and it sprung back to true. Also realize that this knife tested out at 59.2 rockwell.

You should also realize that I park in at just about 300lbs and pulling just on the handle (no pry-bar) I could only get it to bend to 20 degress.

With the 4ft pry-bar and one of our guys coming in at 250 lbs doing the bend developed arm tremors that lasted for almost an hour after the photo shoot.

As I told you earlier, you will simply be amazed at the toughness and performance of this knife.

Dan"

I like my Dawgs and for the price they are great. And like mentioned before if the Dogfather can perform like that....How far will my FBM go?

I'm pretty sure INFI isn't tougher. It is harder and more abrasion- resistant, and probably holds a better edge under most circumstances, but in terms of toughness, i.e. resistance to failure from sudden loads, S-7 is among the very best steels in existence, having been engineered specifically for toughness. To the extent that the steel in the Dogfather shares the parent steel's characteristics, it should outclass INFI in that respect.

I think I'll be ordering one (or two). But, for goodness sake, can it be sharp?

welcome to the busse forum Dan, i see this is your second post, you related to the busse clan?

wait till you get to talk to jerry first hand, he's quite the man
