I remember when your dad picked those up at the show in Tulsa. There are two, right?

There are. One with bolsters and one without. I kept the bolster model and gave my dads “other son” (his administrative liaison) at the city the bolsterless one after dad died. I also have the bolsterless electric red as well

That was very thoughtful of you, I know those knives meant alot to him and I'm sure to you also.

The knives my dad collected were more than just knives. They were a passion for us both. He started me collecting when I was but a wee little lad. Even though our collections really began to deviate in style over the years we always enjoyed sharing our spoils with each other and learning about makers and histories.
Sharing his collection now with everyone is a way of keeping his memory and love alive. I still hurt everyday, miss him and am thankful for everyday I had with him. I was a lucky kid to be his son.

I just got this in from Jim. I have had a few of his now and this one surpassed my expectations in comparison. I had purchased some scales and sent them off to Jim to make me a trapper. Here is a pic of what I sent and what I got from him. Just came out really nice imho. A2 steel.

I had admired this eureka for a long long time. I honestly thought that I’d never own a knife quite as nice as this. At the time, it was the absolutely everything I’d want in a knife. I couldn’t believe my eyes when a member here posted it up for sale. I didn’t hesitate and I’m glad I didn’t. It’s still one of my top favorites in the collection.
