Jim Dunlap knives

Great knife made exactly to my specs, reasonably priced, this thread deserves a bump.

John, that is one of the best looking and most practically useful pocket knives I've ever seen!

I’m not normally a big fan of jack knife blades, but that little wharncliffe looks excellent paired with the longer trapper blade and killer mammoth. Very nice John!

I know I’m late to the party but after viewing this thread from beginning to end I’m sold on Jim’s work, he’s definitely a top notch maker. I’m off to the web searching new or old, hope to land one soon.

Thank you! I normally prefer a more traditional slipjoint but the light weight and modern steel make it so easy to carry in any situation
They truly are a perfect carry. If I remember they're a little smaller than I prefer. About 3 1/4"?

That’s right. CPM154 steel and a touch over 3”. The curved shaped makes it a full four finger grip for me. It’s only a touch longer than a peanut, but the full size blade and full size handle make it useable for so much more than a peanut.

Here is a picture with a ruler (not my pic)

And here is the same picture as before but with a peanut for comparison
