Jim Dunlap knives

I see lots of great knives here. I got mine some time ago in a knife show. I didn't know anything about the maker then and never did any research about it. This is the first time I've seen him mentioned.

(Sorry for using the same pic from another thread, but I recycle :))

You are correct Cisco Kid, hence the start of this thread. He is a skilled maker that only a few have known about.

I got to check out some Dunlap knives a while ago, only got my hands on the linerless carbon shadows but I was impressed. Fit and finish was very nice even on the simple and inexpensive liner less shadows. Really nice action, lightish pull but fitting to the size and lightweight knife, great walk and talk still. Nice to see some fancier versions from him in this thread, they look impressive.

Saw this wonderful little Wharncliff pearl folder at the Blade, it was eating at me after I returned home, called Jim

and low and be hold he had not sold the folder. I purchased the knife and let me say that is a beautifully crafted knife.

Excellent walk n' talk, blade centers perfectly and the Pearl is super sweet! All in all a terrific addition to my pocket!

Is he taking orders? I Love those 3 inch gents knives, very nice work.

Best regards

Wow Jeff, that's a sweet looking knife! You might have to wear your Sunday best whenever you carry that one!

That is some kinda beautiful pearl Jeff ... nice photo too!

Good catch Jeff. That pearl gent's knife is a favorite pattern and material for me. Jim does some excellent work.

Here is a group shot of just my Gent's knives Jim has built for me. He is building another one with that cool electric blue CF.

Very impressive Charles. All of them are wonderful but that tortoise number is pure beauty with the crackled ivory a close second. Thanks for sharing them.

Finally got around to taking a few pics of the gents mammoth swayback that Jim made me last month. Very nice little knife. Very clean fit and finish. I'm very pleased with this knife and look forward to my next one from Jim.

I somehow managed to miss this thread before. Lovely work, some very beautiful knives
