I'm on his lists Chuko and can't wait to have a lanny's clip in hand. I really like the way he does his. Mine won't be as dressy as yours though ;)

Beautiful LC, Charles! One of my favorite patterns and that Dunlap looks excellent.

Charles, could you post an image of the spine? I really like his knives and this stag version
is very, very nice...

Jeff:
I will if John took a picture. If not, I will post one myself after the knife is back in my hands.

Some beautiful work - now how can one reach Jim Dunlap? I did not manage for find any contact information online ...

I have a couple of Jim's knives and would like to add more, but he's not taking any new orders until after the first
of the year. He said he wanted to catch up on existing orders. You can contact him at...

Thanks. Had I new I would have not bothered him with en email. I guess I will be on some other waiting list until then ;) (too many skilled custom makers around here are to blame for that)

Just got this in yesterday... Nice little high value EDC piece... Gonna need to reach out to Jim and see if I can get another!

Wow that looks like it would just disappear in your pocket. Very nice!

yup, the downside of many knives is the lack of flow, spine viewed, due to the transition from a thick handle to a thinner blade.
That's why i'm a fan of thinner scales, but this one is the actual winner!!! :)

It carries super trim! I use a little leather caddy deal in my pocket with a slipjoint and a flashlight. You'd never know either are there.

dbla...the covers look like carbon fiber, which would be lighter than micarta and stronger!
I think that these Dunlop "backpockets" are linerless also? Could we get a picture of the knife open and from the "top"?...that is a nice spine shot.
If it is linerless, I wonder how tough it is with such thin covers. I have a Benchmade that is linerless, but the covers are a lot thicker.

Yeah I'll put another pic up later. But they are liner less and quite thin.
