Week 10 Wrap Up -
Week 10 was overall a lower scoring affair than most recent weeks, showing the ebb and flow that matchups and team dynamics can introduce. The week was also pockmarked with key injuries, some coming very early in games, some coming late, but all impacting the future planning of some of our team owners.
The Daggers were dealt a double blow right in the QB. Jake Locker and Jay Cutler can have chips and soda the rest of the season while watching from the IR list, leaving the Dags with only Big Ben to toss the ball. Forte only ran for “for-tay” in a disappointing day which I had to watch in person. Gore, Jackson and Garcon were the bright spots to help the Dags score 59 points and take top honors for low score for the week. Foles, Sproles and Thomas (the Julius version) scored enough on Saintly’s bench for the win, but the Brees fielded a team of starters anyway, putting up 81 points in the win.

The English made a trade for Luck, but the luck did not hold when RG3 did his on-again off-again on-again owner annoying see-saw game. RG3 put up 30 points on the English bench, while Luck scored only 20. AP put up a respectable 19 points, while the rest of the lineup looked like bad hockey scores. The Geodudes got the requisite 30 points from the elder Manning, while Demarco Murray and Antonio Brown had good days. A surprising 12 out of the Raiders D all helped add up to 90 points and a win for the Dudes.

The slide of the Badgers continues, with only three players in double digits, and only his QB broke 15 points. Looks like a spoiler role for our defending champion. The Jabronis had a solid performance across the board, save for Jennings who suffers from QB angina, and the flex postion. It had to be a heartbreaker to see his STL D put up 23 points on the bench, but the decisive win should have helped ease that disappointment.

Drew Brees saved the day with 35 points for Hammer, while Kaepernick could only tally 4 points (!) for the Squad. That was really the game to watch for the matchup, with disappointments on both sides of the scoreboard coming from San Francisco. In the end it was the Jackhammer that took the victory with 93 points.

The Girl put up a game 83 points in a losing effort to JnJ, in a husband wife matchup. Romo let the Girl down, only scoring 10 points in a slot that would have made a difference when the JnJ RB flex wend out for the season on the 5th carry of the Monday night game. Brandon Marshall, Golden Tate and Delanie Walker scored good days, but it was not to be. JnJ got the poorly performing Cam Newton this week, but made up for the 8 point worthlessness with kicking, D and Megatron. It’ll be an interesting week in the mqqn household, as this also all but put the Girl in a spoiler role from here on out.
