JK FFL 2013 Season starting!

Well in my case, you can't polish a turd...

Is there a mercy rule in fantasy football??!

Not sure you're going to need it. That decision to pick up Percy Harvin may really pay off later in the season. If he comes around (and I think he will) you might have just invested in a nice point producer for the playoffs. I'd been thinking about doing the same thing. Nice move.

Well in my case, you can't polish a turd...

You must not watch Mythbusters. ;)

Myth statement - It is not possible to polish poop.

Status - Busted

Notes - Adam and Jamie first visited the zoo to obtain a variety of feces to try to polish. Poop collected, they tried to pick the most polishable candidates, and then baked them to remove the moisture. Adam tried to shine his poop with a buffing wheel, while Jamie reasoned that using a wax polish would result in a shine. Adam eventually brought in an outside expert who showed him that it was possible to apply a shine to dirt with a tedious technique called Dorodango. Applying this technique, Adam and Jamie were able to obtain very polished poop without using any foreign materials such as wax polish. Measuring their poop for gloss, both samples were found to exceed the minimum specifications for a polished object.

Well, I guess you can....I'm just glad I'm not the one that figured that out.

Regardless, it looks like the magic from my first season has worn off. Good thing I don't do this for a living, LOL!

I'll trade you a whole bag of polished turds plus a silk purse made from a sows ear for PERCEY HARVIN, (you got him ahead of me in the waiver orders this week...I tried! I had 3 waiver requests go to other players this week!)

it's a perk of being so lousy.

Week 8 Wrap Up -
I guess the UK weather was like being at home for Kaeper, as he had a pretty decent day, the best since his opening game. Rookie Josh Gordon scored big, as did the flex position and a nice 11 points from the Pats defense rounded out the much needed win for the Squad to take him to 3-5 for the season. Griffin has another disappointing day (and got the tar beat out of him in the meantime). Bright spots included a good day from Welker, decent production for AP and Terrance had 12 points. The English fall to 4 and 4

The Todd Squad 91
Kentucky English 67

The Dudes had a winning hand with four 8s, and beating the Daggers in a close but uncharacteristically low scoring matchup. It was the Broncos that helped the most, with 29 from Manning and a solid 14 from the Bronco’s D. The Daggers got stabbed in the heart when Vick went out of the game with an injury and put a goose egg on the board. There was just enough help in two QB slots on the bench, at least the Daggers won’t have to scramble for next week for QB.

Socal Geodudes 76
Dakota Daggers 68

The Honey Badgers suffered his 4th loss in a row with two positions scoring zero, but even so he still put up 79 points. I have to say it is a solid lineup with some bad luck. Saintly Brees put up big numbers with Staffor and Jordy Nelson scoring big days. Douglas was a nice slot in the flex position. Saintly goes to 5-3 while our defending Champ falls another game under 500 at 3-5.

Saintly Brees 119
The Honey Badgers 79

The Jabronis got Beat By a Girl, taking the Girl to 3-5 and climbing into a tie for last place with the Badgers. The Girl is making some nice moves and picking well, and put up a respectable 99 points. Had some WR points on the bench, and is weak at TE, but with McFadden showing some mid-season spark and Romo keeping himself respectable for his Fantasy teams, Girl could make a run for a playoff spot if she gets some help from other teams. With Rivers , Matthews and Richardson all on bye weeks, the Jabronis still were able to field a decent team, just did not have enough to steam through the bye week and losing a fairly close one.

You Got Beat By a Girl 99
Stoneys Jabronis 86

JnJ scored the high score for the week for the second time, and seems to be gaining some momentum. The Big Fig Newton had a good game with 30 points, 31 points from RB’s, a HUGE day from Megatron (second highest receiving total ever in the NFL!), and then an outstanding 21 points from a later season pickup Andre Ellington in the Flex slot put 138 points on the board. The Brees was strong for Jackhammer, but it did not blow hard enough to overcome the JnJ scoring machine and Megatron Bomb! A goose egg in one position and Jackhammer still put up a very nice 113 points. Both of these teams are now at .500, JnJ with a two game winning streak, and Jackhammer on a two game slide.

Joiqiue and Jaquizz 138
Jackhammer 113

It is starting to bunch up, and I see some trades going on. Nice job folks, I like it when everyone is still in the game and making moves to stay there. Keep up the great work!

rats, this week was actually a little heartbreaking for me :(

congrats todd, i don't feel jealous at all, not one bit, nope, I didn't curse you one little tiny...

Even when I field a pretty good lineup, I'm getting trounced.

Well, at least I have my last year trophy knife to hug and cry with...

I figured I could hold my own against Andy, but then he had to go and whip out his Mega-Johnson!

I am 4 and 4 in both of my leagues now, but just barely!

Last week I beat the #1 team, but I only scored 46 points! He had a terrible day and put up 38 points for the loss, and he was projected to win by 37 points! In that other league, all four of my first draft picks have turned out to be duds, leaving me to pick off the waiver wire.

Makes it interesting. Check out our transaction counter - the team with the best record also has the most transactions (adds and drops) -

Well, all you have to do is consider for a moment how Todd is able to get the pick preferences.... ;^)

You've got no room to talk. You wire-blocked me two week in a row as well. (Vinatieri & Jacobs) ;)
