Well fellow competitors.....with only two weeks left until the playoffs, it is getting do or die time for some teams.
First the wrap up
Saintly Brees falls to 6-5 on single 4 points from their RB, another disappointing day from Rivers, who has been on a slide at a bad time, and single digits from the rest of the team save only for a nice day from Matthews who took the focus this week from Maclin. The Beavers, at 5-6 with the win got 23 from Luck, 14 from Fleener and 10 from Mason the Cheesey K with 73 total Luck holds for the win. In the cruel stats department, The Brees had a zed on the bench, meaning they made all the right coaching moves. Ironically, Interceptler, the tosser for the Bears, had a better day than Luck, while sitting on the Beav's bench. Can't say I would ever put in Chokeler instead of Luck in any matchup this season.

The Big Fig Newton put up 23 points after his coach gave him a pep talk after a 4 point first half. The Marshall was finally in town against the visiting Purple Horney Dudes from 'da Norte, putting up a nice 21 points, and the Niners D stiffened for 10 points against the Giants, giving the Steelers a nice foundation to tally up a mediocre 82 points, but enough for the win against the Mathers, who, with the exception of Wilson and Morris had low single digit production. It wasn't much better on the Mather's bench. The Steelers chose to not start two running backs when old man Jackson was called out at game time. If you want to make a run for the playoffs, you'll have to get some younger legs in the game than The two Elder Statesmen that the Steelers have been relying upon. Jordy got his, and Tate was not as golden this week as Megatron is showing who gets the looks in Day-Twa. The Mathers fall to 2 and 9, while the Steelers riding a two game winning streak go to 5 and 6.
Marshall Mathers 66
Stainless Steelers 82
The Dags came into MNF needing 31 points out of Antonio Brown, but it was not to be. Brown made it interesting, but fell short of the needed tally. With only 18 from Brady, a nice 16 from Forte, and As Mrs Brees pointed out earlier in the season, a K can have negative points...which happened for the Dags this week. It's a shame that the K in question has the same name as my favorite production knife factory....The Squad made his living on Jamaal this week, and Alshon was also in the giving spirit, giving 19 points on the day. The Squad was singing "Won't you come home Dan Bailey, Won't you come home" when he decided to get the sure zero instead of risking a negative number in his K-spot. The Cardinals D has been solid, and put up 9 points against Stafford and Megatron. The Squad advances to the most popular record in the league at 5-6, and the Dags fall to 7-4, keeping hopes alive for some of the rest of us.

In another game that had a MNF in play (well, the Badgers came into Monday night ahead by one point and in the seat for the win with the Hammer already tapping out on Sunday), Le'Veon put on a clinic with 27 points thus making the win even more definitive. The Hammers had an awesome day out of their bench D, with the Cheezers putting 25 points on the board against the hapless Colts, whose luck ran out a little on Sunday. Decent production from the Beast and Cobb and a nice day from Little RB Blue were about it for the Hammer this week, while The Badgers got a Discount Doublecheck from Rodgers, good points from Sanders and the Gronk. The Badgers don't care, but they had a Z from Bradshaw who was listed as out for the game.

Honey Badgers 105
Finally - The Rabbit took it to the Jabs, who are suffering from a bad case of "where did my bronco's go??" over the last two weeks. Old Man Peyton was outscored this week by Cam Newton. Who would guess that one? Certainly not ESPN projections lol. It was not terrible, with decent production from his RBs, and Maclin with 15 even though he was covered all day and the looks went to Matthews for the most part. Orange (and navy) Julius went out and is listed as Q for the fins next week. That's not going to hurt the Jab's playoff hopes, but it does give the Steelers some hope. The Rabbits were definitely not ordinary, with the Rumblin' Cheeser Lacey putting up 22, Green solid with 18 and Kelvin heating up for 16. It was enough to hand the Jabs their second straight loss and pull the little Kentucky Rodents to a nice 7 and 4 record, while pushing the Jabs to 8 and 3.
Stoney's Jabronis 82
No Ordinary Rabbit 98
That leaves us with a little glimpse of the playoff picture.
The Jabs are in at 8-3 and the Dags and Rabbit look good at 7-4.
The Badgers and Brees are at 6-5, and then there is a three way battle of teams all at 5-6.
If any of the 5-6 teams wins out, and any of the 7-4 teams lose out, then there could be some looking to overall points scored to determine the playoff teams. And the Badgers and Brees aren't going to just lie down either.
It's going to be a competitive couple of weeks - this is where it all gets really funstrating. ;^)
