John DF's January Slip GAW

I've started typing this post a few times already :)
I am still processing it and at loss for words to express my gratitude.

THANK YOU JohnDF JohnDF for your generosity and dantzk8 dantzk8 for your generous nomination and letting me know how much you appreciated my boating adventures last summer. Thank you to bigfish64 bigfish64 for the nominations as well and also all the kind messages posted.
This knife will very precious to me and I hope to take it to the Rideau next summer as my companion :)

As a way to let John's generosity keep on flowing I would like to send you Dan dantzk8 dantzk8 a token of my appreciation crafted with my hands.

Thanks for the kind words. I now have to thank John and Dan for their generosity.
They are known for that and, as well, for their talents.
They both confirm an opinion i have since a long time and which is confirmed by the benevolent attitude of all the fellow Porch members.
Here is: there is a relationship between talent and generosity.
Generosity is an expression of talent and talent is born out of generosity.
For who, like me, doesn't have any particular talent, it's a hope, by being generous, to experience, at last, a talent. A minor one would be great enough.
The Good Luck has picked me for this GAW. Good sign!

The mailman gave me such good scare this morning !
I got the text notification that it had been delivered but when I went to my box it was not there :eek:
Just then my neighbor pulls in the driveway and finds it in his box when checking for his mail , wow, talk about a feeling of relief :)

Thank you so much John for hosting such generous GAW, they will be most definitely a very treasured companions.

Meako mate, don't worry we started to fix that! And the Welsh... ah the Welsh, they were given 100 minutes, spent the last 20 at 5m of the line they never crossed...

Neverthelss the Welsh are the most elegant. Only style matters. There are defeats more beautiful than victory. If, of course, we talk about sport.
