Very nice! Reminds me of the bowling balls you grab off the rack at the alley. I've been looking for a pipe with that same color and material.
John is the MAN when it comes to cool materials!

Hah....Vince is correct here. These scales came from an old 1 gallon ice bucket that was sold as Catalin but is Bakelite I am quite sure. When grinding it ....it smelled like burnt charcoal(whoa....that's like saying cold ice...eh?). It polishes very well and is interesting stuff. What's the bandaid for Vince?

Argel55: I grew up in EL Reno, a suburb of OK City just like the suburb that got hammered a few days ago. It was a wonderful place for a kid to grow up. I mostly remember the wind and pumpin my bike up the hills.....there weren't any...but they seemed like huge ones going against the wind for an 8 year old. My brother was born in EL Reno on 4th of July. It is a special place in my view.

I dunno what he possibly could've done to get banned ,but he is missed here,in my book.

My Cous the engraver freaked out on it,he wants a trapper with radiused front bolster ,with that red Catalin So John if you see this ,hint, lol

Different flavor. I hope John makes more knives with this material. Banana Creme headed to Kentucky

These latest catalin offerings spectacular.

They'are also causing me to lament all the more the loss of a vintage backgammon set that left my home without me when I was away at college, back in the day. :(

Beautiful knives, though!

Headed to B.C. Canada

More classy embellishment by my Cous ,to an already fine pocket knife
