Still missing some facts, but according to what's been provided so far...The seller gave what he claims he thought was an accurate description of a used knife. The buyer feels like his description was inaccurate. If I were to sell a knife to someone and the buyer found a flaw that I overlooked or "misrepresented", I would expect a reasonable buyer to give me a chance to resolve the situation, whether it be a full refund and reimburse them for return shipping, adjust the price accordingly, or swap out for something else.
In this instance, if the buyer was displeased, he should've directly asked the seller for some resolution. Maybe he felt like the seller should've offered to do something without him having to ask. But a burr on the edge of a used knife is not a big deal to some people and obviously is to others. Clear communication probably would've resulted in a better outcome here. All I can do is speculate though.
