100% agree. No way I would EVER deal with ooitzoo.
I also hate it when OPs delete their posts when the issue gets resolved. That information should be left available for when others search for information about the people with whom they might be trading. If what JTolly did was bad enough to call him a "thief and a liar" and important enough for you to create this thread, then you should not delete the details.

I'm all for the knife community warning of potential scammer's (regardless of where the offense may have taken place). With that said, Wolf- this was far from a, "simple" head's up. When the OP, chose to put the words, "thief/liar/& the JD," together in the same sentence of his thread title, it offended quite a few people/management, of said forum.
I highly recommend to anyone here, that is clueless to how a situation like this, affects cross forum brotherhood (especially with the type defamatory verbiage used in this case), should consider reading the JD thread which was posted by the OP, in the: +Positive+ or -Negative- sub forum.
WHY ADD words or thoughts to what I wrote. I simply wrote that the kn ife forums are real close knit and a heads up for something there is a potential heads up here. I POSTED in response to people questioning why this stuff was appearing on BFC.
AFTER 17 years be rest assured that if I wanted to call someone a thief or scammer I would and use the words THIEF and SCAMMER.
All your bigwigs, all the brass and all the omnipotent that I have offended by misreading my posts and misjudging my gonads to call a scammer a scammer should have E-mailed/texted/phoned/stopped at my home rather than have you deliver this kind of message.
Make no mistake my post was simply that forums are close knit groups and IF bad stuff is being alleged on one maybe all should know. Then each member can give it it's appropriate weight.

As much as that saddens me, perhaps you should consider the other side of this.
We did a trade in good faith and his end was misrepresented. I reached out and went about it the right (respectful) way. He basically sent me an email that amounted to " GFY" (twice.) At that point, my avenues were limited to accept it or start a thread. As a matter of principle, I chose the latter and would do so again. This spurred action and an apology which I won't post as it was of a personal nature.
Once all was good, I removed the verbiage as I had promised to do.
As an aside, I don't see what's so offensive about dual posting the thread. I am new on the JD and wasn't as fluent there. Based on some of the vitriol and profanity there, it would seem I was right in my decision making.

I'm thinking, that you most likely misinterpreted my comment. I was inferring, that the OP (not you), went way overboard with the language that he used in his post (those were his word's- not yours). I also felt that, ooitzoo, would've be better served, toning the situation down a bit, until it was proven that he was in fact, being scammed.
Everyone here, is entitled to their own opinion, so my sincerest apologies if you truly felt that I misjudged, your gonad's; & no, I wasn't offended in the least...
It was just my opinion, that the JD, dealt with the OP/& this B.S.- perfectly! :thumbup:

You gave me the impression all the brass at JD was "mad with me" when my only intention was to comment on the importance of the knife forums keeping public any potential news of bad doings.
But one quick question; You and I were discussing this via private message. I assumed there was no need to bring the info public to the entire forum that the brass at JD was angry with me and I was responding without delay what my feelings are, why then go "public".
My record proves that If I call some one a thief or scammer I do so publically and live with that opinion. In this non-matter I never supported anyone calling out a member or called one out myself and then deleted it.
But it's the internet and things tend to never sound the way they are supposed to..............................

agreed, I would deal with ooitzoo as well he has been honest from the jump.
I would deal with ooitzoo anytime. You would not deal with a member who has over a 250 positive feedback rating and 100% at that. You should head over to JD and deal with JTolly instead!

First result is BF with the original title. Notice, second result is the same thread with the new title. In the next few days, there will be only one thread (with the correct title). This is because the Google webcrawler will circle back here and see that the old title thread doesn't exist (more accurately, isn't getting anymore views.)

Let's suppose for a minute you're right. What do you think is the appropriate course of action? I ask because I've yet to see you propose a better solution while I've explained my reasoning in a step by step manner.
ADDENDUM: The JD title was just changed. I had to ask a mod to do this as apparently you cannot do this directly on the JD. That thread will go through the same process as outlined above.

Ooitzoo- you did what you felt you had to do... Every human being, deals with/processes situations like this, differently.
I just personally felt that the, "thief & liar" tag, was a bit premature, & way over the top...& in retrospect, I believe it clearly was.
I fortunately haven't had to use these type of word's since being a member here, & honestly, I can't imagine a scenario where I would; regardless! That's just me.

My role in this Kafafal was to comment that the 3-4 big forums are close knit and need to have an open line of communication if bad folks are playing in the area.
Nothing more, nothing less...............................................................Reps can be destroyed on the internet but in almost all instances the rep needs destruction because it's crap. Good people with solid reps usually have enough good people ready to go to war to protect them if/when cheap shots at rep destruction take place
