I'm kinda surprised there isn't some younger apprentices that were under Joe. maybe there were and management wouldn't let them fly on limited editions, like Joe made? guess what I'm rambling about is I wonder if we'll see limited editions ever again in small runs like we used to?

Well CJ is still there and that's good..It's really about the the bottom line. If its able to make a modest profit the Custom shop will continue and possibly expand. I'm absolutely ready to order a Custom 112 the very day Buck gives me the option of a drop point blade.

Gotta pay to keep talent like that around, and from what I hear, that hasn't been the case. There's a reason they've had 60% turnover rate in assembly/fabrication these past few years...

*edit

Wrong thread. Not sure how that happened, lol.

Since this is the year of the 112, I’m hoping they run one as a BOTM with a sterile blade, no nail nick/notch. Without the other odd specific features that the Legacy model has, it would be priced much better. Brass frame and some dark maple scales would look cool.

Another BOTM I’d like to see would be a 124 Frontiersman in polished S7 steel with polished steel guard and bolster along with ivory micarta handles. It would look real nice, but would also be the toughest 124 variant Buck has ever made.

Probably never gonna happen but we’ll see.

I'm surprised that they still haven't announced it yet. I'm on their mailing list so that I'm always informed as soon as a BotM is unveiled, although they've yet to.release anything that has really thrilled me over the past year.

I really wish that they'd do something really different and interesting. For example, a Buck 124 Frontiersman with a sawback blade similar to the Buckmaster knives would be incredible. I'd be selling my bodily fluids just to get my hands on something unique and interesting like that.

Buck 119 with a CPM 3V blade hardened to 60/61 HRC, stainless steel pommel and guard (like the original 122 Nemo) and finely polished black linen micarta handle.

I know it’s not likely at all but a man can hope 😁

YOU ARE MY HERO OF THE DAY!!!

This is exactly what i'd like, I only usually buy one of the BOTM's, but this would make me buy 3, one for me and one each for my sons.

I'd love a stacked leather 119. But that won't happen.

I've said it before, but with the popularity of copper or brass grips on the market, I'm surprised Buck hasn't slapped out a test run of solid brass 110 slim pros.

Especially now with the TRX and new pocket clip, I'd snap one of these up in a heartbeat.

How about a carakoted aluminum framed 110 slim with a D2 blade....?

What, too soon?
Lol.
Maybe in 3 years.....
