June Weights and Fitness Thread

Doggone, how's your back doing? That part of the body gets cranky and touchy with age :o

Luckily It was OK a couple days later and pretty much completely gone now. Thank you for asking. I found a new and much better way to stretch my back using the stretch rack at the gym and it "released" a couple days later. I did realize after pushing myself hard in May, that I needed to tone it back a bit. I was sore all over all the time! It is hard for me to not keep trying to add more and more, but I think my body was telling me the line was being crossed, lol.

190 light reps.

33.4 + 1.9 = 35.3 BSPs to date.

330 light reps.

35.3 + 3.3 = 38.6 BSPs TTD.

Glad you're doing better, Lee.
My back starts bothering me the next day every time I lift my kids. They're not as light as they used to be. At this point, it always goes away 2-3 days later, but I'm afraid I'm in for a bit of trouble as the age keeps creeping up on me. All the crunches are supposed to be strengthening the core, but the lower back doesn't seem to get the memo.

456 med reps - 9.1
100 light reps - 1.0

10.1 + 51.8 = 61.9 ttd

144 med reps this morning. 2.8 + 49 = 51.8

Glad you're doing better, Lee.

Thank you, It seems to be completely gone now. I know what you mean about the lower back, my son is 3 1/2 and about 56 pounds and always ask me to pick him up because no one else in the family can, lol.. I was having issues for a while before I started lifting too, I do a lower back specific machine that is kind of like a reverse sit up and that has done wonders.

You're welcome for asking - we remaining few who tenaciously cling to posting our workouts have gotta look out for each other  I LOVE the stretching rack at my gym! After a thorough stretching session, I literally move and walk with improved biomechanics. It's quite easy to want to do more and more, especially as we get stronger, healthier, and leaner. I'm still struggling to find the balance between not slacking off and realizing sometimes less exercise actually yields greater results.

Is everyone else on summer vacation?

Nah, it's the tjwarbrick show! :D

I've been doing a lot of timed sets, and I can't keep track of all the reps since I don't have a chance to write it down until after the workout. Once I get back to non timed stuff, I'll start posting again.

I have two short, full-body workouts to post, so I'm going to combine the points.

Light - 201 = 2.01
Medium - 144 = 2.88
Heavy - 20 = 0.8

Current Total BSPs: 57.06
