June Weights and Fitness Thread

Did some free weights for the first time in about 15 years.. I am needing to change up my routine, I am burned out after the same thing for months now.. Going to add some free weight sets next month.

24 med reps and 36 heavy reps... .4 + 1.4 + 75.2 = 77.0 ttd

288 med reps this morning - 5.7 + 69.5 = 75.2 ttd

I have one short workout to post and, hopefully, another on the way.

Light reps - 228 = 2.28
Medium reps - 51 = 1.02
Heavy reps - 21 = 0.84

Current total BSPs: 61.2

Good idea! I find my body flourishes when I'm doing a mix of free weights, machines, cable machines, and bodyweight exercises. How many days each week do you lift? What types of routines do you favor?

I did a short full-body workout yesterday afternoon.

light - 200 = 2.0
medium - 56 = 1.12
heavy - 9 = 0.36

Current total BSPs: 64.68

My next-to-last weights workout for June; hopefully I'll get a lifting sesh tomorrow, too!

Light - 190 = 1.9
Medium - 59 = 1.18
Heavy - 5 = 0.2
Very Heavy - 3 = 0.2

Current total BSPs: 68.16

I have been doing machine based circuit weights 3 days a week, 12 stations with 2 sets of 12 reps each and steps boxes in between sets and then some random single weight stations.. For the last 2 1/2 months (I think). I am looking to transition to a smaller amount of free weights and get some extra cardio style exercises going... whatever I do i need to change it up some.

Last lifting sesh of the month!

light - 39 = 0.39
medium - 97 = 1.94
very heavy - 2 = 0.13

June total BSPs: 70.62

This was a great month for me! Let's see an even better month this July for us all

What types of free weight lifts are you wanting to do? I hear you about needing to change things up. I recently started a three-lifts-per-day workout routine, with each set a certain percentage of weight and reps based on the lifter's 1-rep max, and I LOVE this program. I follow up each lifting session with cardio, and I'm a happier, healthier person.
