Junglas destructive testing video

I was a little nervous for the cameraman before the blade broke.

Yikes.

Cool test none-the-less.

Guess I'll have to get a Junglas now.

;)

Sweet! That will do, no? :)

Only put like 4-5" of the blade in the vice, no?

I was the one holding the camera, my son Cody was the one who got the pleasure of seeing just what she would take

Broke into 3 pcs. The furthest one went about 40 feet.
But it was completely safe:D

That will get you in trouble with the spouse...4 inches of steel in your child! With video evidence! hah!

I bet if you tried that test with the ESEE 5, the table would spin around before the knife bent.:D

Fun job you have there :D

Did you happen to see how far it would bend and return to the center?

Hahaha! I think that 1095 with Rowen's heat treat is more than tough enough for this old man. Outstanding!

I've watched this video about 10 times and I still think it's just cool as hell.

Agreed! Very cool!

What's the row of knives on the table next to the orange slabs?

Wow,that's awesome!!I don't think that I would ever test it to the fullest like that.Great to know the Junglas can take it though.I concur, when it comes to 1095,Rowen has no peer!

Damn impressive, but I'm not just absolutely surprised. It's a long enough piece of steel that a lot of flex can be gotten out of it. It would be very interesting to see that compared to other knives of similar length and thickness.

I'm moreso impressed that you could bend it over 35 degrees and it will come back straight.
