Thanks Alan and Gev. They're just called 'field mushrooms' here - I think they're known as 'meadow mushrooms' in the US? They don't keep long, so they usually go straight in a hot cast iron pan in butter, to be eaten on toast with a squeeze of lemon juice, salt 'n' pepper.

They were on the edge of this field:

LOL! No, it's equal ended in shape, rather than Sleeveboard, but it's actually a Crown Penknife

I'm late to the #54 party but glad I got in. Equal end jack with jigged wood, gotta love it. Got the Beaver to meet the Fish and Dog, I think they got along fine.
