Just A Picture - Traditional Picture Show

Howdy Mark, thank you kind Sir - I suspect it is, is is most definitely Horn, and I noted a while ago when I spied another C. Johnson with the same Horn - and I also have owned an earlier Sheffield with the exact same colouring of Horn as well.
But I do love that Stockman - I dont know what it is - but you just need to look at those blades and they just about sharpen themselves- and no the sharpening marks on the blade are not from me :D

Great pic Gev. The fantastic coloring of the bone makes it look natural in that setting. Like the crop is ready to be harvested. :D

Sweet knife and pic Gevo - wonder what that bug thought of it ?:confused:;):D

One minute later - 2nd pic added - Ohh nooo !!! He is stealing it now !:eek::D:D:D

Awesome pictures, Christian and Primble!! That Dowell and matching stone are just stunning!! And Primble, what is that background I must ask?

Thanks Gev and Rob.

The knife and the hone aren't actually a matched set as the covers are mammoth ivory while the stone is jasper, but they are close enough in coloring that I thought they went well together.

It is the front of a very very old large metal bread box with porcelain knob and hinged lid. You have seen me use the unpainted back of it for other backgrounds, like the Humphrey knives. ;)

I keep my special treasures in it. ;);):D

Nice Tidioute Shane !
