Hello all. I have had this account for a few years but haven’t used it much as other things in life took me away from collecting knives and having time to enjoy this hobby. I use to have a nice collection IMO but over the years 1 by 1 I let them go as I just didn’t have time and could use the funds to buy other things I wanted. Well things have changed and now I have plenty of time on my hands and would like to build my collection back up. So I thought I would get some ideas for the 1st 10 folding knives I should buy to start a rebuild. Let’s start with knives under $150. I’ll list a few requirements for the 10 folding knives, things I know I like or don’t want etc. Here goes:

1) Blade 2”- 3.5” max

2) No FRN type handle scales

3) Not interested in traditionals

4) No front flippers

You can give 10 ideas or simply 1. All recommendations welcome

Thanks

What do you think interests you the most, and what knives do you currently have?
(Looking for some background info...)

Thanks for the questions. Right now all I have left are some cheapie Spydercos, a Kabar a few Kershaws and that’s about it. I literally sold anything worth anything. I’m a fan of flippers, like nicer steel, comfortable ergonomics, G10 or Micarta scales for the most part (don’t like anything that gets or feels slick) and quality builds

WE or Civivi Elementum, comes in many flavors.
I actually ordered a Civiv Elementum yesterday. It was a G10 green version and was around $50 shipped if I remember correctly. I had read a lot about it so decided why not. I guess I was asking for “nicer” knives in this thread, sorry if I didn’t make it clear

I think that Benchmade's offerings might fit the bill...
Good luck, and happy shopping!! 😬

Haha I actually had 4 of those on a list I made of more expensive knives I want to pick up. I wanted an XM18 3”, a CR small 31, a ZT 0452 and a Microtech UTX 70

In the same boat myself. Trying to build up a small collection but with quality knives for sure. Not a bad place to be in actually as I will check with the pros here for opinions and suggestions. So much to learn and so many steels out there it can get challenging. Am a watch nut too. Like the Citizen and Seiko dive watches.

Yea Seiko offers a great quality/price ratio
