Just no at testing knives like this.

Someone needs to get JoeX the mighty banana tanto. It is the only thing powerful enough to withstand his abuse.

Whether one likes his video content or not, obstructing your face is highly understandable. The Facebook era made people entirely too comfortable sharing their real names and pictures on the internet. Stalking, harassment, doxxing, all concerns for anyone online who isn't a big enough public figure to defend against such things. It's one of the (many) reasons Vtubing became as popular for people to get into as it did.

Ok. So to be fair to him I just went back and watched the whole video. I could do without the whole shovel and theatrics but I do agree with a few things said at the end. I too have been disappointed with "expensive" things. And having family in Germany I do know from experience that products stamped MADE IN THE USA are very expensive over there. So I can appreciate when he says that you don't need to spend a lot of money to get a quality knife.

I might not agree with the "testing" but I do agree with his message at the end.

I'll chip in again, I enjoy his stuff for what it is but certainly wouldn't decide on a purchase unless for extremely hard use. I've tested the A1 very hard but "appropriately" and it's come through with flying colours unlike on his test, although if I want a pry bar I'll use erm a pry bar.

As some have said its filling a" niche" although he could actually improve his "tests" by being consistent with them for example number of strikes, same objects being hit etc... and then it would provide some value as to what knives are good for harder use etc... although most wouldn't break so I guess it defeats the object of what he's trying to do/achieve.

It's not a fair fight until you give the car a Skrama. 200 or 240... dealers choice.

JoeX is in Austria I think ..
And as for his job ......... apparently his employer was not impressed by his antics ( years back ) .
What is his job ?

I find these destructive knife tests to be very informative, just like I did the old Noss tests.

I’d prefer if the testing was more controlled/consistent, but I’m just happy that someone out there took up the mantle.

Keep going Joe!
