just out of curiosity

Laid of construction worker after 30yrs, does'nt look good right now. But I do have work comming in the spring.

Teacher in Alaska

And that's a very fine profession.

Believe I've answered this one before. I'm kind of ... odd and varied.

At the moment: Senior Project Engineer for Aerospace firm.

But have also been: an officer, a physicist, a professor of physics, a lab scientist, a lab director, a T&E professional (test and evaluation), a systems engineer, a program manager/major program manager, a chief scientist, a "senior field representative" for a major government agency, and a few other miscellaneous bunch of things.

But these days, just a senior project engineer.:)

Underground utility locator. Branched to splicing damaged phone lines, maintaining gas lines, and quality control work at different times, but for right now I'm just a locator.

Haven't worked in a month. Probably wont be back to work until March, winter hit pretty hard here and there's not much excavation going on right now.

I'm a physicist, transitioning between jobs, deciding what exactly I want to do after running screaming away from the terrible working conditions in academic research. If anyone knows a company in the Denver area that could use the services of a PhD physicist with a background in fluid mechanics, nonlinear dynamics, computational physics, and thin film polymers, give me a hollar :p

I'm among the laid off right now. In my past life (read: pre recession) I was a custom boatbuilder. Needless to say, people aren't shelling out for boats much anymore.

I would think you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a really good job there. :)

Partner in a small Oil & Gas firm (mostly Gas and Land Man type work).

Previously I was a Software Consultant and Project Manager for 15 years.
