Just saw this.....Bark River is no more?

Seriously. I can’t figure out why DLT is being grouped in with BRK.

I have paid for steel to be sent to a maker to make knives for me. I have no idea of their business practises.

So a legit question. I’m not trying to cause problems.
With all due respect Coleman, it’s not rocket science. They’re selling questionable goods from a known liar. If they’ve sold one product from them that is proven to be completely a lie, why wouldn’t they sell another? Mike admits they sold junk chinesium as US made. Went out of their way to mark it as such. Why would or should they believe the rest of the stock is good? Is it not a giant red flag that they couldn’t procure their own steel? DLT is a titan of the industry and I’m certain people have mentioned mikes questionable reputation. It’s bad business to be willfully propping them up. They pulled the 3 models Mike admitted to lying about. If he lies about them, why wouldn’t he lie about others?

Again with all due respect, you’re small potatoes. They were a huge well known brand. Sadly this stuff is swept under the rug too often. They represented themselves as a big time player, not just some guy working alone.

somber somber Holy cow that is one damning testimony you posted. I guess thats one downside of being a terrible person....you treat people terrible then they let everyone know about it.

Robbing Peter to pay paul was literally his long term business plan lol 10s of thousands of knives at hundreds of places, if he had knives to send whose to say he didn't fill an order that was outstanding to long? Not far fetched at all.
Understood. And Jason has stated that he will be sending the other models to NSM to verify those steels. He seems to be doing all the right things. This is 20% of DLT’s sales we’re talking about - that’s already some serious poo he has to navigate through.

They are having their entire stock tested?

I would imagine just samples of each model, at least for starters. I thought I read somewhere that they have something in the area of 13,000 pieces in stock (I could be wrong on that), but that’s a rather large undertaking to test every single one.

I'm so glad I never bought anything from BRK.

I'm not an attorney nor do I play one on TV (yet), but one would think that the employees would be liable at least under some sort of collusion law, or conspiracy to commit fraud.

I love watching people like Stewart get their comeuppance, but it seems to me as if he won't get the the full amount. Instead of karma biting him in the ass, its just a nibble. Who knows maybe one day he'll be jaywalking and get runover by a DLT semi.

Thank you for the reply, J.
I do get it. The “all due respect’s” weren’t necessary. ;)

Interesting. That's an insane amount of brk stock. I trust Mike Stewart 0% considering how much he's lied screwed people over. In my mind everyone of those is suspect. He's a conman. I'm glad they are testing some, maybe that will be enough for some folks, me? I'll buy from a reputable company, hopefully directly. I can understand the dealers not wanting to lose their ass, but if they sell 1 knife to a customer that is pot steel that's to many imo.

That's disheartening. One of the biggest regrets knifewise is many years ago selling a Bark river hudson bay camp knife.
