So if I’m understanding correctly, BRK has been modifying Chinese made knives to look different.
I assume that they used big machines like grinders for this..?
After the knives had been heat treated..?
And if the employees knew they were scamming customers, they might not have been super careful to preserve the heat treatment by avoiding overheating the blades..?
If so, it seems that even if the steel in these knives is the “correct” steel, they’re still very likely to have damaged heat treatment.
It also sounds like DLT is planning to test and sell some of these knives they have in stock.
Does anyone know if they are just testing them for steel type or also for proper temper/hardness?
(Doesn’t really matter to me - never have bought or will buy a BRK - just curious).
