Btw, admitting that you would buy a $550 knife and turn it around for a $250 profit is really low class.
Not really , that is pretty much common place in the custom arena , and also in the mid-tech and production arena's as well. And I thought the knives were more like $400 from Rick ( just going by the website info ) ?
Supply and demand.
OP already mentioned he had the cash , price was a non-issue to him , but waiting was , so he paid more. Happens all the time at knife shows , some knives are " flipped" for double literally minutes after purchase. Why ? To avoid long waiting listing , and to have instant gratification.
Think of it , if we all weren't impatient people , we would still be satisified with dial up , instead of being on a 10meg cable connection ( no offense to those on dial up still ).
I see numerous posts on forums of people saying " I could save for years and still not afford one of those " ," I had to save for a year for this " , " I am just a poor college student " , etc , so what is wrong with the folks with cash gloating ?
If he bought it to use , good for him , if he bought it as an investment , probably not the best choice....however it is HIS money and now his knife .
