So I was scanning the internet for a Marauder, and I found one, and wanted to ask some questions about it. Decided to contact Medford knives expecting to talk to someone in their staff. Turns out Greg's personal number was listed on the website, and I thought "no way he'll actually answer that." So I called... and he actually answered. Not only did he answer, but the guy was EXTREMELY cool and helpful. A combined effort from Greg, Amy and Sean ultimately lead to the purchase of a perfect 3V Vulcan Marauder I had so desperately been searching for. I'm an easy going guy, and I don't expect a whole lot when I call ANY customer service, but this was exceptional. I'm just posting this because I think the guy deserves some credit. He makes awesome knives, lists his own number on the website, actually answers it, makes an honest attempt to help you, and he's super nice. A+ for Medford Knife and Tool customer service. I'm absolutely blown away. Just wanted to share with anyone who cared!

This probably belongs in GB&U. You may also want to search there and see what kind of experiences others have had with his *ahem* customer service.
 
I plan on purchasing one of his midi marauders when they hit the streets... or maybe a infraction.. I follow his you-tube channel and I am super impressed by him and his company. Thanks for the info.... We live is a world where not many people back up what they say and do.. He certainly seems too and deserves my business.

I've had nothing but great interactions with MKT. I'm impressed that Greg is still answering calls himself considering how much growth has undergone recently. They care deeply about their brand/product.

Do your research, understand who you're dealing with.
 
I don't consider it a privilege to be able to talk to someone . Actually the opposite if someone is too busy for me then oh well.

Nothing against greg or amy ive spoken with them both and they've always been friendly and got back with me quickly . Gregs very opinionated. I respect the man for having his views but from a business point of view I don't understand what purpose it serves.

There has been some hiccups with MKT by other members . Nothing wrong with telling both sides of a story .

Great to hear. A guy that comes into my local shop was at a knife show last year. He's a disabled vet (missing his arm), Greg saw him walking by the table and handed him a knife for free. I thought that was cool.

i just got a fat daddy back that i sent in for some warranty work. had another but great experiences. bring on more medfords.
 
Well it looks like people clearly have divided opinions of Greg Medford. Really, my only intention was to share something good about him and his staff. I had a great experience. The Internet has a natural biased towards negativity. Just thought I'd add a little positivity to the mix :)

Thanks for sharing; it's always good to hear the good stories and not just the bad. Just understand that Medford has a mixed reputation here and some members have had some pretty poor experiences with him so I guess there is some natural inclination to bring that up - fair or not. Glad that you had a positive experience!

Honestly glad to hear you had a good experience. When considering purchases I always like to know the good and the bad, so I hoped to shed some light on both sides.
