Will a scan of a picture work? I need to dig up my old photo albums for this one. (I think I have a pic of the Nimitz' anchor or anchors.) I also have an old grainy VHS video of the anchors being dropped, but no Kabar content in it, unfortunately.
This post will be my entry once I find my photos.

By "actual anchor," I meant actual anchor.Tdhurl and zuluninja are kicking some big anchor butt.
I mean, you can try a depiction or a photo, but it won't have the same effect as finding a really big anchor and then sticking a Ka-Bar in front of it.
Anyone got great, good, moderately decent weekend plans?
I'm going to attempt to not melt in this heat. Get out early. Back in before noon. Binge watch something 'til the sun starts going down.
I'm gonna try to do all the stuff I should have done last weekend. Or play GTA. It's gonna be hot outside.![]()
What counts as hot up there?
Yep. 90+ and humidity is best solved through the miracle of air conditioning.Forecast is for ~95 all weekend and with all the rain and everything it's probably going to be a bit humid too. That ain't gulf coast weather but I don't care who you are, over 90 is hot and if I don't have a good reason to be out there I won't be.

Stay cool my friend.
I've never worn body armor, but when there's enough moisture in the air, you can't wear little enough. I'm betting Kevlar doesn't breathe well. Not horrible humidity mind you, but southern Colorado is typically arid and lately we've had a lot of moisture. It's actually most noticeable in the early morning around dawn before it warms up. It'll be like 65 degrees but so muggy I'll sweat through my uniform, but I am wearing body armor.

Good thing there is something like Febreeze. I bet that thing won't go in a washing machine. You'd be like a Jr. High boys' locker room. Funky from a distance. No, it doesn't. We have combination load-bearing/ballistic vests. You eventually get used to the weight, even checking ID's for three solid hours with no breaks, but yeah. Sweaty. I keep febreeze in my locker just for the vest.

Is it true that Kevlar won't stop a knife? I've heard the fabric can't handle the point of a knife while the width of a bullet keeps it from penetrating - even if you still get the full energy transfer.Febreeze is awesome stuff just in general but is wonderful for body armor. If I took the whole thing apart I might be able to wash the carrier but that's probably an hour's worth of work if I'm even able to get the kevlar out and put the whole thing back together again properly. And Kevlar is a fabric so I'd still have to spray the panels.
