I think all the zombie talk on the boards is goofy, but who knows, maybe I'm just getting old. This SHOT 2011 vid review isn't meant to be specific; it's just an introduction to Kabar's new line.

Anyone have specs on these? And it's good they come with black scales, as that particular shade of green isn't my cup of tea.

Go to the Becker forums. There's some info under the SHOT show threads. I personally love the things. I could care less about the ZK thing. They've got the same handle as the Potbelly, and that's my favorite knife. I'm gonna buy them all!!!

I actualy like the way they look but I think I could do without the whole zombie killer thing not that it matters or anything.

Yes, but they are sturdy looking knives, and KaBar just found a way to bring in the mall ninjas and wal mart rangers. Pretty genius, really.

I'd like to say that I find the designs both practical and attractive...that's what I would like to say.

that third one with the little recurve on it looked useful. reminds me of the benchie glory knife but..not as a nice (and much, much cheaper, in fairness).

I like the first fixed blade and the 3rd one. The price point is really affordable and I am digging the green handles. The Zombie thing doesnt bother me, it just marketing...

II actually like them and find the humor in it. Nobody on the other boards take the whole Zombie thing real. It is sort of like a running joke that has gone way overboard. But in reality... Who cares?
If the zombie thing isnt your bag are you going to be losing sleep over a company doing this? No.
I personally will buy the nasty looking hawkbill. Not for zombie killing but for bushwork. Ya it will make its way into some photos of zombie rigs, but it is jsut for fun.

I guess I'm old fashioned, but I think a machete is the preferred zombie knife. I guess the first model shown would be OK, but the rest just don't seem realistic for zombie killing. As a matter of fact, it may border on negligent to market them as such.
;)
