KAI Warranty Service

Same thing with me, some issues but it ended fine. It was annoying that I had to send my knives back after a 3 week wait, but all I lost was time. Lost a lot more than that.

Good for you, and great job KAI. They make awesome products.
dkb, what does your last sentence imply? You confuse me .

Just wanted to give an update. After all of the bs at the beginning, KAI pulled through and made me a happy man. Much appreciation to their warranty dept for making sure there was a happy ending.

Glad it worked out for you! I've found KAI/ZT to have far and away the best customer service in the production knife world, and they have always been helpful and professional. I think my wife would rather they didn't so I would stop buying so many of their knives :D

I've had a few issues but nothing was that wasnt solved with an email and a walk to my mailbox. Glad to hear everything worked out!

bodog, that is great to hear. I just happened to buy my first ZT today. Really looking forward to its arrival.

Good Job Kai ! and bodog for being patient.

I've got a claim in with Kershaw right now, the knife arrived on Saturday. Interested to see the service they give as I've had great service by Spyderco's service on three occasions. It took KAI a whole week to respond to my email which I consider just a little bit long. It was a good response though and I sent my knife in for warranty.

I have had to send in some of my own personal Kershaws. They were old and I had a problem taking them apart. Everytime CS has been spot on! Glad to hear it is still staying that way!

I agree. KAI customer has always been a pleasure to deal with. I had an old Starkey Ridge that somebody gave me. It was missing the thumb stud, the clip, and a few screws. I called them up and while that particular knife is long discontinued along with the parts, they did send me out several different screws, clips, and thumb studs to see what would fit. No questions asked, no charge, they just showed up in my mailbox a few days later.

When I got a new ZT 0561, one of the standoffs had a big (purely cosmetic) dent in it, which clearly happened before it was blackened since there wasn't any marring of the finish. I contacted KAI about it and they mailed me a new set of standoffs the next day, no questions asked. I couldn't have been happier with their service.

I should have been more clear, I have had knives that cost me a lot more to get right. Both time and money. The Kai knives also wound up not being quickly gotten rid of due to strong dislike.
