Karambits?

I sent my Emerson Super Karambit out to get pimped and, well, it's been 2 weeks but it's felt like 2 years! I seem to get into a scuffle every now and then, the nature of my neighborhood sadly. I need another karambit but, aside from Emersons, I can't seem to find any quality ones that match it. Anyone else got some karambit fever that would like to help ease my pain?
And if you're worrying, I never use it lethally

Are you looking for another karambit to use in your scuffles, or are you looking for something "EDC"?

Are you looking for fixed or folding? 5.11 makes one that can be waved easily, Fox, spyderco has a discontinued model that can be waved easily or you can look into some customs.

Hate to say it be Emerson the only one I would carry. I use a Fixed Emerson on my weak-side(lefthand) in a Inside the waist band sheath. The 5.11 looks ok but lacks the wave feature. If you need to use it for self defense the "wave" gives you a great advantage. The Fox karambit looks good and have a "Wave" but ive never handled one so I cannot say.

I would prefer a folder for a legality reasons. 4" is legal in my area but 3.5" would be playing it safe, of course anything less would be great to a point haha. EDC in mind would be best. I like to carry two blades, the karambit, ideally, for emergency / peace of mind (not a fan of guns), and a utility cutter.

More like a scare tactic than actual application. If hand to hand gets a little out of control, waving out an exotic looking blade helps to quell the situation nicely.

So if you wave a karambit around, what happens when he pulls out a 9mm? You seem to just be asking for trouble... You also don't seem to be helping the knife community out at all.

You really don't understand the first thing about self defense, do you? Have you ever seen a controlled fight before? Have you ever been in a fight before?

When you're waving that exotic blade around, some BG is stomping your skull into the pavement, sticking his knife in your ribs or shooting another bullet into you.

Retired cop here. If you're getting into scuffles "every couple of weeks," you're doing something wrong. You don't need another knife.

You make it seem like I wave my knife just because I saw a guy on the street that looked at me funny. I could list out the reasons I have in carrying a self-defense tool around a college area, the thought process I go through when moments (2 in the past year) like this actually occur, and the experience I have in martial arts (in case you were wondering if I actual can use the blade if need be), but I am not posting to make myself out to be something I don't need to be on these forums. My OP was for information on a blade because I have an interest in it's style and use for it's application.
If I made it seem like I just carry and show off then I apologize for the misconception.

In my previous posts I have not stated anything about bringing my knife out " 'every couple of weeks' ". In application to time I apologize for using "every now and then". The meaning of that statement was to be broad and show that I actual have a means for a self-defense tool.

Key point was that I am in search for other karambits with similar quality to my Emerson.
Because I may have worded posts incorrectly it has turned into a debacle of if I am using such a tool in the correct manner and timing, etc. etc. etc.

I don't think there is any other way to word this statement.

How else would you have worded it? Why would you wave a tool around to calm a situation? You did quote it as a tool.

On the off chance that I can say something that will maybe keep you alive longer than you probably deserve, I'll say that you should not go out of your way to look for trouble. Even those of us who got paid to do it found out pretty fast that it's not much fun. You have no excuse at all.

I'm walking back home in City X after a late night dinner date. A nervous individual approaches me and attempts to mug me. Strike to the temple disorients that individual and the fighting halts. Before he goes in for the second attempt I stop his persistence with the wave of my tool. The seriousness of my intent coupled with his already failing confidence causes him to flee.

I'm watching my words well this time, sorry.

In no way was I looking for trouble other than the fact that I was taking a stroll at night.
