Finally someone made this thread:thumbup:

I've only just started lurking around the cove in the past few months, but I've already witnessed at least three crapstorms involving Karda and his agenda. Most of the guys in there are great members who contribute positively in other areas of the forum. From what I gather, they just don't like it when their place of refuge is disrespected by newcomers and trolls, so they retaliate. Karda seems to think that they are somehow all horrible people, and he's doing his best to get the place shut down.

Everything he posts is immature and unprofessional, and he is abusing his supermod powers to impose his own views on a place he doesn't otherwise frequent. A supermod should only enforce the rules of the SITE, not those he makes up himself. He is therefore unfit for the position, and something needs to be done.

Regarding site boundaries: Karda threatened today to ban members if they post on the YouTube site of a person who has clearly been using BFC as a promotional platform for a (rather inane) website and YouTube collection. Gus immediately responded by noting he would un-ban any such members. Gus's was the voice of sanity in that really weird moment involving Karda's continued assault on any behavior he deems unfit. As I understand it, BFC SuperMods do not have dominion over YouTube.

I am sorely disappointed that Gus has decided to retire, but I understand his resignation.

It's easy for someone walking into a conversation half way though to make a snap judgement, and usually reach an emotional conclusion. He was a direct recipient of the vitriolic hate. He has as much right to post here as anyone.

Pardon me, but I don't think it's right or proper for people to use this site to instigate potentially damaging and unwarranted acts to occur to someones livelihood.

It is an act of the lowest character and should not be condoned. The antics in this forum have gotten out of control due to a group of entitled bullies.
It gives this wonderful site a black eye and tarnishes what could be a wonderful resource of information without it. Here they are allowed to trash reputations and make sport of the very people that make this place what it is. Many of these people rarely visit the rest of the forum and repeatedly have to be reminded not to troll manufacturer and discussion forums. They ruin the enjoyment of others on the site for their cheap thrills.
 
I agree with the others that there seems to be an agenda, and maybe even a chip on Karda's shoulders toward some of the longtime and respected members here. At times he seems to lack impartiality when judging a number of situations.

Karda, I've seen you say this multiple times. Odd. I'd think that you, being a moderator, would want to, you know, uphold the rules of this forum and tell that particular member (an attention puppet I won't name) that if she wants to try to monetize her use of Bladeforums, she should, you know, have the right user level.

But hey, what do I know. All I saw was some serious white knighting from you, trying to protect a member who knew full well what she was getting into. I don't understand why you even tried to intervene, honestly. And please, don't give me the same drivel you've been spouting for multiple pages. You were blatantly protecting this one member, for some reason that escapes me.

Tell me, if a person wearing a suit made of pork chops goes into the pitbull pen and gets torn up, is it really your place to come in and chastise the pitbulls? Curious.

BF is a big place, with plenty of subforums to hang out in. No one has to go into the cove if they don't want to. And if they choose to do so, they are warned at the top of the page that it isn't for people with sensitive eyes. So I see no reason you should be defending the anyone who goes in there and gets what they get. Especially the ones who do it only to troll the regulars.

And for the most part what happens in the cove, stays in the cove. I seem to remember reading a couple threads warning the regulars about this, and so far I haven't noticed anything but good behavior in the other subforums from the majority of them. So I see no reason why anything that happens in there would "tarnish" the rest of the site......

Your only real job in there is to keep it from getting out. The rest is up to the members to self regulate

I didn't open it. I posted in it and then noticed it was locked. I wasn't going to reopen it and be further accused of making my own rules by my supposed colleague.

Spark please read my email. It will explain much of what these people will omit here.

The short story is that The Cove & W&C are out of control. Good people and business are being ruthlessly abused in the Cove instigated by a few and followed by most posting here. When moderators are being sworn at and ignored and the other moderators ignore, participate or condone the practice. Something is wrong, very wrong and I'm not entirely to blame.

It came to a head yesterday because a new member, Bladegirl was being ruthlessly slagged in both the Cove (mainly) and W&C by the usual suspects. She saw it and went in there and was treated to the most vile, putrid and vicious examples of juvenile schoolground bully tactics I've witnessed. I only stepped in when Haze accused her of posting a pic when it was he who did it. I pointed out the fact that there was no edit in her post and was again set upon by the same vicious group with the same vile tactics.

After that had almost run it's course. Marcinek, a longstanding and noted troll takes it upon himself to start another thread in W&C where her youtube videos, which are her livelihhood are posted and it is recommended that members avail themselves to harass her there. I tell them that its harassment and I will ban them and am again set upon by the crew....and again out of the blue comes Bastid to publically admonish me, that I'm making my own rules and declare he will reverse any banning.

He himself has removed people from W&C for less than he allows these people to get away with. The problem is that these people have been manipulating moderators for a long time.

Now here...we see the usual tactic of misstating facts or omitting them and the innocent act.

Well, I think it's clear at this point who the BF member boyfriend is that YoutubeMoney kept mentioning in her thread in General. That's a wrap, gents. :thumbup:

When LTERALLY EVERYONE ELSE thinks differently than you, it more than likely means that YOU are the problem, and not everyone else.

Most people grow up to understand this concept, but it seems you haven't.

Well, then you should probably step expending such vitriol defending one person who was exactly where she wanted to be, getting exactly what she asked for. As it was clearly explained to you (which you have taken issue with), you AREN'T a moderator of the internet. You're just a moderator of this one site. I could go to her Youtube channel right now, and downvote every video, or report each one to Youtube. It's not your place to stop that. Furthermore, I find your explanation here disingenuous given how many people I see getting insulted in W&C with absolutely not a peep from you, nor any proclamations about how those posters have lost your respect.

At the end of the day, you went overboard trying to defend some member who got exactly what she was asking for: attention. I don't understand why you felt the need to get involved at all. That's my point, and I suspect, the point of everyone here calling for the revocation of your status. The only reason I'm even posting in this thread is because I see you sitting here still acting like all of these people have it wrong, or that they're just trolls, and you were just setting everyone straight.

That's not the case at all, sorry.
 
Karda isn't completely in the right, but neither is he completely wrong. The cove has turned a corner a while back and is again following a path reminiscent of when a self proclaimed king ran the cove. The very same members that decried that person in a thread (shut down by spark) now carry on his good work.

The cove is not any members personal corner of the internet no matter how much they feel it is.

Using your mod powers to take shots at members that they cannot defend is unbefitting of a mod.

Bastid may hate me and want me gone, but I respect his decisions as a mod and if we have lost him in that role its a shame .

You and you unilateral declarations of what the forum should be? Not so much.

Of course you don't see the entire picture where I've been repeatedly trolled and shown the same vitriol she was.
I get involved because I'm not going to let her or anyone be set upon by a dozen vicious bullies at once, as is their custom. Ask anyone who endured it. You wouldnt know would you?
